This restaurant is probably nudging 5 stars. Really enjoyed the venue itself nice open dining area, vaulted ceiling, well spaced out tables and very crisp appearance whilst maintaining a relax feel.
The food was almost unreservedly excellent and very well received across our table, nice bruschetta, wonderful King Prawn Ravioli, mixed oyster etc.
The mains also terrific, duck was lovely - if not quite confit, brisket generous and hands down winner, the lamb croquette very nice but not quite what i would have expected as a croquette (no potato to bind it together), the accompanying purees/vegetables all excellent. Banoffe Pot and affogato deserts very nice.
The service was very friendly and we had a little bit of fun over deserts with one of our waitresses desert recommendations - "we do like a bit of banana".
Overall a great dining experience and would feel very happy about a repeat visit and pleased to recommend for others to give Twine some consideration.

Overlooking the picturesque Pokolbin vineyards, this restaurant offered us magical dishes served with style. The background music complemented our delightful food and wine experience. Highly recommended. The highlight of our day between tastings!

Four friends had dinner here. The service was excellent. Upon arriving we were given the requested tap water and presented with the menus. They took our wine order straight away and returned with it promptly
We all loved our meals and the desserts were excellent. the waiter was very friendly
The room itself feels a little empty not sure what they could do to change that.
Only negative was i dont understand pork belly that isnt crispy/crunchy on top. Not sure if that was meant to be or not but i think it needs to be grilled on top.
Would highly recommend this restaurant - the prices are a lot more reasonable than many other restaurants and they dont lock you into 3 courses that you may not be able to eat

When we went (despite pre-ordering and providing names to each meal to make it easier for them and us), it was still quite messy/disorgansied bringing these out, and the wait staff were quite grumpy/unpleasant.
They also were slightly unprofessional, coming out at the end and saying "the total is $40/person" in front of everyone, despite mentioning it is a birthday/surprise event..
Food was ok though, slightly small servings (we were ok as we had snacked prior, but for an awaited lunch meal, it may be small)..

We went there for dinner and the dishes were very fine as well the atmosphere. However, the two ladies were very slow and not very attentive. The waiting times in between meals were just way too long, after waiting 30mins to order our desserts we decided to pay the bill and leave. Not gonna come back again.

Food was good and service was generally good except for one waitress who was appalling which spoilt the night a bit. Prices are reasonable. If I ever go back it would probably be better for an outdoor lunch on a nice day.

Amazing food with a spectacular view across the vineyards. Very picky husband was mesmerized by the seafood linguine and I had the brisket which was also divine. Coupled with a very delicious moscato we were in food heaven. A gem in the hunter...

Fabulous experience at Twine restaurant for a birthday celebration. We dined for lunch in a large group, and the owners we’re extremely helpful and accommodating. The group menu was delicious and had lots of choices, and everyone commented on how much they enjoyed their meals.
We were given the private dining room, but the outside dining area and the inside were all beautiful as well. The atmosphere was relaxed and the view was gorgeous. There were games outside for the children to play - which was a great added bonus which allowed the adults to relax without worrying about the kids being bored. All in all a fabulous experience.
Thanks Twine - we will be back!

A group of 5 of us went for lunch today celebrating almost 29 years since we first met and so happy that we chose Twine. From the greeting at the door to the cheery "see you next time" on leaving. The staff were helpful and patient (some of us were talking too much). We each ordered different drinks and different meals all were placed before the right person. Yea.
Firstly I have to say on behalf of my friends "we love your chips". Hot and so so crispy and the added flavours win win win. (even when cooling so crispy)
The beef rib with bbq sauce was mine, I did not offer to share a bite and did not leave any sauce on the plate. Other dishes we tried were the chicken breast, the stuffed capsicum, prawn ravioli, and gin cured ocean trout. All were oohed and aahed looked at and discussed and plates emptied. Nibbles, mains, wines & coffees @ $50pp definitely a deal of the day.
A big thank you to the chef who was on his own (sick wife at home) for making our lunch something special.

Amazing food and service. We shared a dozen of the best and freshest rock oysters, the lobster ravioli (to die for) and the lamb shoulder (absolute melt in mouth with perfect jus) and a side of crunchy perfect fries and bottle of Nebbiolo which paired perfectly. We are foodies and could not fault anything, 10/10. Do yourself a favour and simply go. We will be back!!

being in the Hunter does not entitle big costs for pedestrian food and service. The only thing here that i remember was the price went up for average. Not one of our best choices for lunch , a bit like sitting in a supercar that only has neutral

Fabulous lunch with great views and friendly attentive staff. We really enjoyed our seafood tower which consisted of prawns, oysters and crab. Salad and delicious chips and garlic bread. Restaurant was very busy so highly recommend booking well in advance. Live music, yummy food and views, great for lunch.

Booked here for lunch to celebrate my son’s birthday. Food was exceptional and waitresses were just lovely. We had an outside seat but it was a windy day and requested if we could go inside. They said someone was about to leave and as soon as they did they will let us have the table. 5 mins later we were ushered inside. Will definitely go back again. Highly recommend the gnocchi (the best we have ever tasted), the chimichurri chicken and the brisket.

After a lot of research of restaurants in the Hunter valley vineyards I decided to celebrate my wife’s official retirement at Twine. She is pescetarian and only a small eater so the menu was ideal as it offered some seafood dishes as either an entree or main course.
The service was excellent, the location lovely and the food really was outstanding. The ocean trout entree was a real standout for me, the seafood ravioli for her, except of course the wonderful brûlée.
Would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a memorable meal.
With an open kitchen it was great to see the really happy interaction between the chefs and the serving staff

Went to twines for dinner tonight and it would have to be the best night my partner and I have had. The service was amazing, all the staff were extremely friendly and always checking to see if everything was okay. The atmosphere was perfect as well, with an amazing view over the vineyards. The food was the best we have even had, my partner ordered the lamb shanks and he said they were the best he had ever had. Everything about the night was amazing. We will definitely be coming back!!!!
