Of the innumerable restaurants I’ve dined at over the years, Blaxland Inn would be in my top 5. Awesome location, outstanding meals, and service worthy of any high-class venue (thank you Jamie). The courtesy bus is an added bonus we made good use of (thank...you Julie). Seated outdoors, we had to laugh when a fellow diner complained about a few flies buzzing around and the response was ‘welcome to Australia!’ If you’re in Pokolbin, don’t miss an opportunity to have dinner at the Blaxland! Be prepared to shoo the odd fly!More

Had not booked but pleasant greeting. Had steak and ordered sides to share as they were plentiful. Steaks were nice but not great. Dont get me wrong, they weren't bad. Staff were helpful, friendly, but a little light on.More

Warm and friendly greeting. Atmosphere is lovely, peaceful and relaxing dining. You can eat inside or out, either way you'll have the best seat in the house. Food is lovely, excellent portions. The flavours and presentation are delightful. It is another must check out in...the Hunter Valley. Reasonable priced and worth ever cent.More

We visited here as a couple, however there were families dining there as well. It is pleasant without being frizzy. We found the staff to be pleasant and helpful. Food was great and reasonably priced. Could not fault the staff or food and will certainly...be adding it to any future trip to the Hunter. Highly recommend a visit. Added bonus after a day of wine tasting is the shuttle bus which can transfer you to the restaurant and home againMore

We visited here as a family. They allowed us to try the wine before getting a glass - this was greatly appreciated. My steak was perfect, my husbands t-bone over cooked but he still ate it. The kids meals were large and delicious. The service...was a bit hit and miss, I ordered kids drinks they forgot to bring them, when they did they were adult size, I couldn't be bothered sending them back even though I told her that's not what I ordered and they charged us for the adult size (it's only $2 each but still - I ordered kid size for a reason). They also forgot our sides we had to request them twice, but the food was good and it's very pretty. I'd recommend this place to anyone who loves meat!More

Good menu, varied and wait staff extremely helpful. I have a wheat allergy and they guided me through the menu and no trouble to check with the kitchen. Lovely, tasty food, served quickly but not rushed. Highly recommended and simply scrummy. Great staff as well...and well priced alcohol.More

Can’t fault the food from entree to main and cocktails. The booking via website and follow through confirmation is good. Just so uncomfortable as it was a hot weather and we felt sweltering inside with some annoying flies. But overall it was good experience -...would have stayed longer for dessert and more drinks but it was really hot in the inside corner where we are seated.More

Surprised to read another review reporting poor service, as we had nothing but praise for the staff, particularly Morgane, who was warm and welcoming, knowledgeable and professional. The food ticked all our boxes too - great steaks for the hungry one, and options from the...entree range for the other one.More

The food here is very delicious however the poor service deteriorates the experience. This was the case for both visits to Blaxland Inn which confirmed it wasn’t just a one off! It took nearly 20min for just our drinks to arrive yet alone the food....When we asked about where the food was, the staff was quite rude. It’s a shame about the service as we really do like the food. As it has happened twice in a row, we are not likely to return and do not recommend this venue.More
