Quick service, great food

After having Google maps mislead us, we finally found the restaurant. We were looked after very quickly, the food was very tasty (hot enough for us to enjoy) and, while the servings were not overly big, they were sufficient. Prices were also acceptable.

Outstanding!! Service and Food!

First time to come to this restaurant with friends. Wow!! It was excellent. Service and food quality was just too notch. Special mention to Rohit and he was so friendly and know customer service, which can be hard to find in other restaurants. I like...my food hot and it was just perfect. Highly recommend and we come back again in a heartbeat!More

Cold and dingy dinner with terrible food

We went to Thar Indian Cuisine in Orange on 10th June. Once we ordered the food, we realised that the restaurant’s heating wasn’t working and despite our pleas with two kids under the age of 7 nothing conclusive was done to restore the heating. A...cold and dingy place with below average quality food and terrible hygiene. A must no go !More

Very impressed with the food & service

After not being able to book anywhere 24 hours prior in Orange at several restaurants we got a booking at Thar. We were not disappointed. Didn't realise it was BYO but they do also sell alcohol. The 4 meals we shared between 4 were all...very nice especially the Malai Kofta. First time I have had Kashmiri Naan, very very nice. Our waitress was delightful & attentive. All finished off with a Masala Tea which was truly yum. Live in Bathurst but hope to get back here sometime soon. Thanks Thar for a great evening :)More

Delicious meal

Went there for the goat curry and weren't disappointed. It was delicious - and a huge portion. Very pleasant.

Perfect!!

We ate here last night and loved it so much that we had a perfect meal again tonight. As vegetarians we had so many options but the malai kofta, vegetable korma and a range a interesting breads in particular were just delicious. Great service, wonderful...food excellent value. Five stars! We’ll be back when next we stay in Orange.More

Disappointed

We were disappointed as we have been to this restaurant before & gave them 5/5. This time we were disappointed. We ordered goat curry. The dish was mainly sauce & pieces of goat that were mostly bone, with very little meat. The naan was nice....Staff were friendly.More

Best Indian ever

On a break from Sydney and saw That was No 1 on Trip Advisor so decided to give it a try. Food was exceptional and was like being served mum's home cooking. If this was in Sydney it would be fully booked every night. It's...BYO and with Dan Murphy next door plenty of local craft beers to choose fromMore

Authentic Cuisine

Wonderful food & great service. Can highly recommend. Give it a go! If you’re into Curry or not you must pop in for a meal & warm home made Naan bread-brilliant!
