We stayed at the Parkview and on the first night went to the restaurant. We wanted a local red wine and asked the waitress and she suggested the Philip Shaw Idiot - we liked it so much that we visited the winery the next day. My partner and I had the fillet steak - the only complaint would be there was too much steak - we both had 2 pieces of steak which was more than generous.

Had lunch with a group of 12 for a farewell one person sent their steak back very thin and overcooked refund given . Prawn linguine ordered six very small prawns and portion of meal very small . Twice cooked chicken breast with Indian potato and spices chicken dry and tough was definitely cooked twice plus this is the first time I have ever seen a bone in a chicken breast believe I was served half a chicken breast and a small chicken leg skin off with frenched bone. Some ordered rib eye one comment was where is the other half of the steak but overall steak was cooked well. This used to be a top place to eat but would think twice before going back overpriced for the size of the meals served.

Us four were recommended to go to the Parkview for dinner on our first night in Orange last week, but bookings were essential, we are glad we listened to our daughter as it appeared that the Hotel was pretty close to its limit with spacious dining requirements these days. The crumbed cutlets were amazing and our friends salmon enjoyed over a few local wines, staff were very busy serving meals, but still had the time and professionalism to assist patrons when requested. Thank you Parkview, we’ll recommend you to our friends.

The service was terrible and the waitress was dismissive and lied to my face when asked why she hadn’t returned to serve us. The manager was aggressive and rude. Worst customer experience in Orange. My wife was so upset she couldn’t eat her meal. Shame on you Parkview Hotel. No stars. Avoid this place at all cost.

On our first dining out experience since lockdown rules were lifted, my mother, brother and I met for lunch here. We were asked to sign in and use hand sanitiser on arrival. We were then shown to a table in the very well distanced dining room. The staff went above and beyond to ensure the rules and regulations were adhered to and that the patrons (and themselves) were kept safe – which I truly appreciate. Our meals for the day consisted of a margherita pizza, a chicken burger and a roasted cauliflower and mixed grain salad, all of which were very filling and an adequate introduction back into “normal” life.

The menu looks pretty impressive so I booked a table for dinner. The staff member on the door was lovely and very friendly and explained the ordering process to us and that even though our sitting ended at 7pm for the next sitting, we were welcome to continue to stay in the beer garden (which is absolutely beautiful). The food however, was a bit of a letdown. I ordered an asian style pork belly salad and it was bland bland bland. The pork was just baked or fried, plain, thrown into the salad, with cold tasteless noodles and not much “salad” except for beansprouts, chilli and some herbs, of which the main one was Italian flat leaf parsley! Completely ruined the dish. As much as I love parsley it doesn’t go in an asian style salad, at all. The other dishes ranged from quite nice (gnocchi with slow cooked lamb ragu) to kind of ok/average (burgers, parmies and pizza) The star is the friendly service and that beer garden is stunning!

We were surprised to find an eatery open on Good Friday, so booked in with a group of family and friends. The food was fresh, delicious and tasty, and quickly served. We had either mixed seafood plates, or battered fish, or battered prawns, with chips and salad. All were most happy with their lunches. Unfortunately the staff were not up to scratch. The maitresse d' was abrupt and terse. The COVID-friendly ordering arrangements left somewhat to be desired. The Order Desk was "manned" by young lady who really didn't understand the program. Ordering meals took some time, even when the Supervisor took over.

Crazy busy on a Saturday night so highly recommend that you make a booking. The beer garden is amazing with plenty of room and a nice atmosphere. The service is quick and efficient and the wines by the bottle were a great range of local and internationals for a reasonable price. I'm not entirely certain what the current physical distancing guidelines in NSW are but there was not 1.5M between our table and the were kids on the next table running around and touching our pram which was not ideal and no direction was given to their parents to suggest they sit down. The food was nothing special but was ok value for the price.

With Covid-19 the restaurant is offering sittings at 530 and 7. We booked at 7 and were greeted by the Marshall who explained how and where to order. We were happy with the range of gluten free options and would recommend the duck leg (also dairy free) and the lamb curry. The bar offered a great range by the glass. Sadly no Australian Prosecco on offer.

We arrived without a booking and after being told they were full, the Maitre D', who was in the trade, found us a table and was extremely welcoming. Front of house approach is so important and, we were sized up, correctly, as out of towners and made to feel welcome. Now we are living in a regional area of NSW we miss decent pub food and the Parkview certainly reminded us what good, reasonably priced pub food is all about. And, the meals came out pretty quickly, a feature replicated across other tables. Wine list was pretty good and we got to take the half bottle with us. Well done Parkview team! Highly recommended.

Stayed overnight from regional NSW and the hotel rooms were great. Very well priced, spacey and nicely done up. We had dinner there and all 3 dishes were beautiful. I later ordered a dominoes shake and desert at 10:30 when the pub was closed and the owner kindly helped me find the delivery driver and held the door for me. Would recommend :)

The Parkview Hotel Bistro is a large dining room with multiple tables, meaning that large groups, small groups and even solo's can have a great meal in a friendly, well serviced environment. Table staff were buzzing around, very busy, but friendly and courteous and managed to find me a table near a window. outside the dining room to place your order, then return to your table and wait for it ti be served, The counter staff taking orders were friendly and efficient, and the table staff were fantastic, I had a scotch fillet which was cooked just ride and a side of chips, It went down very well with a cold beer. This bistro was recommended to me by a local and I had a very pleasant meal and a very enjoyable time, I will certainly be back. This was what country friendliness and hospitality is all about. Well done all at Parkview.

The food was great!!! Hats off to the kitchen. Now front of house… I called and made a reservation for Saturday night, the guy that answered the phone said not a problem time 5:30- 7:00 . That was all good. Got there at 5:30 , the lady (older) was very rude and said I had not made a reservation, but she would find us a table, right next to where the food comes out. Worst table in the place. I showed her that I had made the call earlier that day. We asked to move from that table as there was a cold breeze coming in the back of the room. She got rude and said all the tables were reserved. We had a reservation therefore a table should have been reserved for us. How hard is it to move us to another table. I’m sorry I will not be returning due to her attitude!! Sorry kitchen staff as they work so hard.

We had been to the Parkview quite some time ago and as we were in Orange for the night we decided to have a meal at the Parkview. Chicken schnitzel was good and it was go oh d that they had local wines at reasonable prices. We had one of the Pinot Gris. Would eat here again if I’m ever on Orange on the future.

The food here is very average, expensive, and the service is terrible. They ran out of clean knives and folks, and we were informed they’d bring out clean cutlery with our meals - but this didn’t happen. We also asked for no butter on our meals - but they had butter on them which we had to scrape off. Waitress was also rude when we informed her of the above. We won’t go back.
