Went for dinner last Saturday night while travelling, I rang and made a booking over the phone as the booking app didn't seem to be working. They said they could just fit us in. We were welcomed at the door by security and found our...reserved table. Nice and warm considering it was freezing outside. We ordered the large serve of chicken wings to share, side of chips and lamb shanks. Drinks seemed reasonably priced with soft drinks $4.50. Food came to our table after about 15 minutes. We liked the chicken wings, they were big, hot but the sauce thankfully served separately was very chilli and spicy. The meat just fell off the bone of the lamb shanks, it was a bit watery but very nice. Would recommend this hotel/pub if you looking for a nice place to eat in Orange.More

Stayed 3 nights for a local school reunion. Super comfy beds, nice selection of food for lunch and dinner - reasonable prices. Would stay again, def recommend!

Went for lunch with friends. Food was good. Could not believe no Tooheys on tap mmmm unaustralian to say the least. 1st pub I have known in nsw at least with no tooheys new on tap not even a btl of tooheys old.

We arrived at the Parkview Hotel in Orange and asked for a wine list, and ordered a bottle of the Philip Shaw No. 8 Pinot Noir, given we were at Philip Shaw Vineyeard earlier in the day for a tasting and enjoyed the No. 8...Pinot. We sat down with our bottle of wine and realised after a few minutes we had been given a bottle of Philip Shaw The Wire Walker Pinot Noir, a wine we had also tasted earlier in the day and not enjoyed. Upon speaking to the barman about the discrepancy, he said he admitted he knew of the discrepancy and the wine list needed to be updated. How can an establishment advertise one wine, and give you a different, less superior wine?!? There was no offer of refund or an alternative wine, very poor service, with little remorse.More

We stayed overnight here with our children and didn’t want to leave. Extremely clean, very friendly and helpful staff, able to check in late due to being a pub, the biggest most comfortable bed ever, air con, tv and complimentary refreshments. Cannot fault anything. We...will definitely be returning.More

Had dinner only at this Pub, excellent helpful service, good wine selection and excellent steak and frites, cooked to perfection... well priced meals, would return for the steak n frites alone!!

We dropped in here last night on our way to Dubbo. We were after a quick, no-fuss meal and we got it. We ordered at the counter and both went with bangers and mash because we were tired and couldn't think, but I noticed a...lot of different options on the menu. We chose to sit outside and I have to say it's really nice out there. Inside seemed a bit ordinary, but outside is just lovely with some nice lights and solid timber tables and benches, also some other tables arranged on astro turf. Bangers and mash were nice - haven't had it in years. I not a huge fan of pea puree,but hubby is and he ate mine as well! We'll be back next time we're around for dinner.More

Such a disappointment. I have been to this Restaurant over the nine years I have lived in Orange, many times. Now it has changed and I am not impressed. No table service, no water delivered to the table, order & pay at an out of...the way counter where the cutlery & serviette are handed over. Wait staff wandering around aimlessly. Specials no longer on a board brought to the table for you to peruse. I will never go back to this Restaurant.More

These days you book in at times that suit them, not ones that suit you, so we booked in elsewhere. It's a pity as Cocho would probably turn in his grave.

Just called in on my way through for a magnificent eye fillet steak and veg with a glass of Shiraz…. So good no sauce required. Sat in the front bar as traveling alone and the staff (mostly new) were friendly, the beers cold and the...meal was cooked to perfection!!!!! Well done Parkview - been coming to Orange for over 25 years and never stopped in….. for no reason really - will from now on !!!!More

We wanted to to dine pre-theatre. We had a choice of two dining sessions, neither very convenient but Take it or Leave it! Fortunately the menu is still extensive, the food fresh and tasty. Service was quick but impersonal. We arrived at the theatre with...lots and lots of time to spare.More

We were very disappointed in our accommodation. Very uncomfortable beds that were lumpy. The king bed was made up by 2 single beds that made a hard ridge up the centre. Showers had black mould on the floor and wall tiles. Reservation staff were not...overly friendly and this hotel does not accept NSW stays vouchers.More
