What an amazing experience! We had the set menu, hard to pick a favourite dish because they were all incredible! The wine list is the War and Peace of wine lists, unbelievable! We still managed to pinpoint an exceptional local wine to enjoy with dinner....Definitely 5 stars!More

11 out of 10. Service was lovely, atmosphere perfect. Food was bloody delicious and gorgeous. Big wow at the corn rib flavours to kick it off and the enjoyment continued from there. Best dinner experience we’ve had in a very long time.

Absolutely amazing restaurant and a place you must visit when in Orange. Pros; Service was on point - staff attentive and explained the meals thoroughly Meals delicious Cocktails awesome Atmosphere relaxed and chilled Cons; The gnocchi dish was incredibly rich, too rich The sauce that...accompanied the wagyu was way too overpowering for the delicious cut of meat Overall we loved it and will definitely be back!More

Had an amazing dinner at Charred, hosted by Sam and his many lovely colleagues. The food and wine pairings were absolutely delightful, the ambience cosy and comfortable, and the service was second to none. When we needed to vacate our table for the next booking...time, we were welcomed to stay longer seated at the bat area where we ordered the famed Bombe Alaska and Tawny and had a fabulous time celebrating my friend’s 50th birthday. Thanks to everyone at Charred for making us feel so welcome and for a beautiful night - will definitely be back!More

Friends were here last week, loved the food but had problems with wine, ordered two bottles, neither were available. We had a similar experience, loved the food but had three goes ordering wine before we hit the jackpot where we found a wine on the...list that was actually available. Our server was singularly uninformed about the menu, the ingredients or the wine list. A vacant response in relation to every question. To sum up our night the bill was over $100 more than expected. Our server indicated there was a problem with “the system”. We were charged for wine that we didn’t receive. This really is not good enough for a restaurant with this sort of high end reputation. The food was fabulous but the other parts of the orchestra were sadly out of tune.More

Second time at Charred and found it still amazing. The barman Brandon remembered me from last time, even remembered what cocktail I had at the bar with him last year. His service was world class! The food is amazing and the service and wine exceptional....Well worth a visit!More

Booked this well in advance of our stay. We had heard often difficult to get a seat and I can understand why. We had dined at Loli Redini when we were last hear ( a few years ago) and I truly believe the service and...food at Charred outstripped the other location. I guess it does depend on what you are looking for but we were really impressied by this restaurant. I chose the vegetarian option for the set course , whilst hubby chose the meat based one. Loved it all and honestly cannot chose what my favourite part of the meal was. We chose not to do wine pairing - but only as we thought we would not be able to consume a glass with every course ..so we opted for all local wines by the glass. Excellent meal and excellent service. Cannot wait to return .More

A set 4 course dinner for $90 is well worth it. The size of the courses is perfect so you leave satisfied but not overall full - in fact, just right. The drink list is expansive and although each course is memorable, the Charred Alaska...dessert which is "set alight" at the table is excellent. All in all, a quality dining experience and one I would look forward to repeating on my next visit to Oange.More
