On a trip to Orange, my family and I ate here two nights in a row. The bao buns were frozen, not fresh - which is ok, but they weren’t steamed and hot . . . The pork was dry and barely warm. Chicken liver...pate, lovely, rich best shared between two. Lambs fry - cut a little too thick, warm, not hot. Night two. . . . Ordered spring rolls (entree) 4 huge spring rolls - too big for entree. Salad - straight out of the pack, add a cherry tomato and a few slices of cucumber- too many baby spinach leaves and NO DRESSING! Pie - mash potato and pie Luke warm, sent it back to the kitchen then waited and waited and waited and waited. Finally arrived pie and mash were still only warm. The pie was stunning however, the flavour and pastry were unbelievable. The only thing letting this restaurant down is their rush to get meals on the table. Reheated food is never good.More

My partner and I were very disappointed. His pasta dish was bland. I am gluten intolerant. I had 3 or 4 options out of a large menu. I opted for a prawn cocktail and garden salad. For $15 I got gritty lettuce and 4 prawns....The garden salad was boring with no dressing. What a waste of money.More

Chicken Caesar Salad looks good. Unfortunately chicken bone and gritty. Don’t think they washed the lettuce at $24.20 with 2/3rds left a very expensive dinner

Had a great night here the food and drink were exceptional. Moderate prices and the prompt service was appreciated by our large group.

Had 2 beers then went to the Diggers club for dinner. Was served a large serving of chicken schnitzel with vegetables & gravy ... delicious. As my plate was taken away by polite Taylor, the young lady who directed me to the table, I asked...Taylor why I was charged & had to pay for 2 150 lashers of beer. Taylor called a senior gentleman offer & he said his name was Mark. I told Mark that I am a member of Orange Ex Service club + an Accor Member Silver level & I have had 2 beers outside in the beer area, & each beer cost me $7.50 each. Polite Mark asked for my Orange Ex Service club member card & I handed it to him. He went to the bar & made them reimburse my membership card for the beer’s I had had! I love having a night out but to be stuffed up as an Accor Member on silver level ... they seem to mess me up every time I come to have a night out, away from home!More

Meal in Restaurant was good. Meal selection fine and staff were friendly Different experience in coffee lounge. Attended lounge at 9.10pm after dinner with 6 adults in total. Looking for coffee and a snack. Stood at service counter for 7-8 minutes. No sign saying counter...was closed. Female staff member serving in adjoining but observed us waiting at counter. Walked past and cleaned parts of bar area. Returned some time later and advised the coffee counter was closed. Suggested we sit in the poker machine room, push button on a machine and we would be offered a coffee. Most unacceptable service. Large club in a large town with many visitors. Having coffee lounge closed at that time is not good business. Would not recommend the club for a full night out with friends.More

Went to dinner with our family for my grandfathers birthday to Diggers Bar and Grill and the service we received was absolutely awful. Not only did our food take over an hour to come out after being told the wait was 20-30 minutes but some...food either didn’t come out at all or they brought out the wrong thing. Multiple family members requested refunds due to not receiving their food. Many other large parties who ordered their meals well after us also received their meals well before us as if our table had been forgotten. We definitely will not be returning to this establishment and would not recommend it to anyone we knew.More

Basically split into areas, Drinking, Eating and Pokie Machines. The staff were friendly and efficient. The dining room was closed and I never ventured anywhere near the pokie machines.

When I arrived over a year ago to live, a friend took me here to have a quick lunch & straight away, I fell in love with the ex service club! Staff are friendly & somehow now that I have been here, I will always...meet a friend there or those friends that stop off for awhile, it’s a great place to meet them & have a beer or 3 with them & then of course to have a nice dinner with some wine. The evening always extends as a another glass of wine is always needed to finish off the good night out!More

The bistro serves pub food in a club atmosphere. No great frills in decor, but the food is better than average for club food. One of us had crumbed chicken breast and veg. We told the helpful staff which vegetables we liked and they chose...these for us, no trouble! The canneloni was very rich with a lot of ricotta and tomato sauce. I should have had a salad as it was very rich. Altogether a pleasant lunch.More
