The food and service were average. We were a party of 7, and ordered 4 entrees & 5 mains. One of the entrees (onion pakora) was under-cooked and we sent it back to the kitchen to be replaced. When we asked about it, the waitress...basically lied to us that the dish was fine, and won't be replaced because we had consumed majority of it - as if we could have identified that it was under-cooked just by looking at it 😒 then we said that we won't pay for it unless they replace it - she lied again saying that they have run out of batter to make it. By this time, we were really disappointed and told her that we are not going to pay for a product that was below standard and basically inedible. She went back with her tail between her legs, and brought us fresh pakoras. The mains were disappointing - butter chicken was sweet and the fish in fish amritsari had died in vain. The kadhai chicken was acceptable, and so was soya chaap. The only good dish was palak paneer. In summary, poor value for money, and low flavour profile - won't be coming back here, especially after the way we and the situation were (mis) managed.More

What a find! A quick look at restaurants in Hamilton offering vegan options found us dining here. We didn’t have a booking, there were two of us, one is vegan and it was around 6.30 on a Thursday night. We were greeted very politely, shown...to a table and when one of us found the music a little loud, it was turned down upon request. The food was delicious, a Goan fish curry, the vegan dish was one of the best ever tasted, a Bindi Do Pyaza plus naan and rice washed down with a mango lassi and a Bombay lime cooler, (with or without vodka), this drink was a sensational mix of lime juice, mint, and other herbs and was sweetish and delectable. There was a good selection and very reasonable prices. Attentive and courteous pservice. We’ll be back.More

In the last 2 years being at Newcastle, I almost felt that best places to have Vegetarian Indian Food for me were: - Coastal Curries - Sapphire - Namastey Indian ( Charlestown, Maitland ) I was pleasantly surprised when I went last night for dinner...with friends. What we ordered ? 1. Handi Paneer aka Kadhai Paneer 2. Soya Chaap Masala 3. Veg Manchurian 3. Breads - Garlic Naan, Bullet Naan, Butter Naan 4. Few Drinks What we liked ? - Food was very flavorful - No Floating Oil - Just the right proportion of taste, flavors, portion size - Paneer & Soya Chaap were surprisingly very soft What we didnt like ? - Drinks ordered were pre-mixed before bringing to table - Glass Size for serving Scotch were tad too small - A little more attention by staff can be helpful Overall great service, awesome food, super taste Definately on my top 2 in Newcastle now, highly recommend.More
