A small intimate restaurant, the food was really lovely. The spicy entrée, was amazing. The main meal is served with the traditional flat bread that is more like a crepe. You eat the meal using the bread, instead of a knife and fork. There were...More

Excellent food despite some choices not being available. Service a bit slow. Don't like being forced to use 100 characters.

This is a small restaurant, busy, with a high table turn over. I have read many reviews about only taking cash. Not so now, they have eftpos. The vegetarian menu is bigger than the meat, but three are similar lentil dishes. We went as a...More

After hearing rave reviews about this place we couldn't wait to have a meal here. We decided to have lunch. We were the only people in the restaurant throughout our entire dine in experience so the atmosphere was a bit lack lustre. The restaurant was...More

This place is so good - the bread is delicious - the red and black lentils are unbelievable and all of the other veg dishes are so good (I love the kale and pumpkin and the Sambuesas). Also, eating with your hands is fun and...More

Starting with a traditional hand washing this is not just dinner but a whole experience. Once you get past having no cutlery and eating with your hands it's quite fun. The dishes are designed to share, so order a few. The food is very tasty...More

This is a very small restaurant so bookings are essential. Be comfortable with eating with your hands as there is no cutlery. Great service with the front of house staff recommending what to order and the hand washing, done at the table was pretty cool....More

Habesha has a wide range of vegan friendly meals available. They wash your hands for you and the set up is very lovely too. The food is amazing and is served with spongey bread which is very moreish.

Most of the foods served would be coeliac friendly (I used to run a restaurant so not guessing here), but naturally it is always worth checking. Worth a visit!
