Have been to Ethiopia including remote townships so know what is eaten there and I can verify that this place is the closest thing you are likely to get in Australia to the real deal. Nice hand-washing ritual before eating (which is with your right...More

The food is absolutely delicious, and the hand washing ceremony is really unique - all restaurants should do this! Service is very attentive and friendly, they have great wines too. I love that only a small amount of people can eat there at a time,...More

I planned lunch here on a Friday, took my family there, arrived at approximately 12pm. As there are no lunch or dinner times to be found on their website, I went off the Google review summary which clearly states that this restaurant is open for...More

Our family group thoroughly enjoyed this eating experience. Great taste, staff who couldn't do enough for all of us. This was a Saturday night and was a bit of a throng on the sidewalk and across the road is the scrumptuous icecreamery.

From the friendly helpful service through to the product knowledge and food quality, this would have been one of the best meals I have had in a long time.

Great food, friendly service and cosy atmosphere. Definitely added to the favourites list. My wife and we’re looking for something a little different for date night without the kids and this certainly didn’t fail to impress.

Another unexpected really good find in Newcastle. We ordered chicken & lamb both unreal. Loved the pancakes with the meal. Eating with your hand was a nice experience.

Went there for an 8 o’clock sitting( I believe they are set sittings). Quite small but you’re not squeezed in either. Limited menu but enough to satisfy. Interesting food and very tasty. Eat with your hands and some sort of pancake/bread thing - sorry but...More

We didn't start well here as they don't have any high chairs for our baby and the first two drinks we ordered they didn't have any, But from there on everything was awesome, the four of us nearly had a fight over who ordered the...More

This is a little jewel of a restaurant. It is very small so booking is essential. Ethiopian cuisine, so no forks and knife, you'll eat with your hands. Injera (Ethiopian bread) was very good. We tried the lamb: perfectly cooked and very tasty. Reasonably good...More

Most of the foods served would be coeliac friendly (I used to run a restaurant so not guessing here), but naturally it is always worth checking. Worth a visit!
