Have been a daily patron here for many years.
Never had a bad coffee, never had anything other than exceptional service.
A large group of loyal regulars make it the Pellegrini’s of the Hunter Valley.
Come for the coffee, stay for the stories.
I thought supporting a local business was the way to go by coming to this little café. However, a grumpy old man was very rude to me twice. I told them I want to have my café in and they are serving it in a...take away cup. It is not a big deal but when I asked he was very rude to me and said you are always complaining. I am a business owner myself and I was shocked by this guy’s response ignoring some marketing basics.
I will never come back here and I will make sure my network doesn’t too
It is a shame we cannot give zero starMore
I visited this cafe based on other Trip advised comments and they were right the coffee was good. But if you are after breakfast they only serve light meals. So if you are after a bigger breakfast you will need to look elsewhere.
After reading the other reviews on TripAdvisor I opted to meet family members here for a catch up. We were not disappointed. I had a chicken and pesto toasted Turkish sandwich and it was absolutely delicious (my sister ordered the same and was equally delighted)....For coffee I ordered my usual, an extra hot vanilla latte in a take away cup. I was pleased to find that the coffee was neither overly sweet, nor bitter. That is, at some cafes my order is often too sweet, from too much vanilla, or too bitter, from not enough vanilla, but House of Espressos got it just right. When coupled with the delightful owners, I can see why this place has an outstanding TripAdvisor rating.More
Wow. What a great little cafe. There are such a variety of meals and drinks. All homemade food. Anne-Maree cooks everything herself and is so bubbly and the service is great. A small but quaint cafe with a lot of atmosphere.
