We weren't staying at the Quality Inn where Reflections is the inhouse restaurant, but we're so glad we drove from our motel to dine there. I chose 3 entrees, evenly spaced, and all were divine. Gnocchi, ravioli and the dumplings. My husband had the soft shell crab and the rack of lamb. Both delicious as well. Dessert was the brulee and sticky date pudding. Make sure you make a reservation as they're taking covid seriously and offer set times for dining. We asked for 6.30pm but were offered 6.15pm or earlier, then 7.30pm.

It was my husband birthday and this is were he picked to go.We were visitors to the area so really didn't know were to go,it is in a motel which we weren't staying in so we did choose to go there.
Th staff were helpful as my husband can't eat most things,the meals were so elegant the mood in the place was lovely it was just a lovely evening

Incredible service, lovely restaurant and even better food! I ordered the oysters as an entree and the Crispy Skinned Salmon as a main. The Salmon came with mussels and seasonal greens. Hands down the BEST salmon I have ever tasted. Literally melted in your mouth.

Very disappointing … entrees 2 spring rolls and 4 dumplings, duck in spring rolls tasted like bland mush, dumplings chewy and soy was the only flavour. Wine came after starters and told to shout out if we wanted our wine pouring. Chilli prawns…covered in sweet chilli sauce from bottle, no salad left (we were the 6pm booking), veggies instead…Indian spices potatoes, maple syrup carrots and burnt snow peas, frozen sweet potato fries. Scallops were tiny over cooked and had no seasoning. Purées grainy and again not seasoned. The only thing good was the wine we poured for ourselves. Mentioned scallops over cooked told no negative feedback and then were ignored. $120 later (obviously no gratuity for sending food back) feel pretty stung. Avoid. Feel sorry for the previous owners…hope they don’t come and eat here.

We went out for a birthday dinner & some aspects were good & others poor.
Starting with the negatives
Alcohol drinks took a long time to arrive at the table (approximately 20mins)
The “reflections” cocktail tasted like a lemon squash & served in a beer glass.
After selecting our dishes & the waitress was taking our order did she inform us that a few of the dishes were not available. Blamed supermarket shortages
They could have removed them from the menu as it’s photo copy paper.
My Scotch fillet steak (surf & turf)was char grilled which is fine but tasted burnt. Also only 2 overcooked prawns.
Pork belly dish was average & soft skin, not crackling. Lamb rack tasted great but looked anaemic.
Only one waitress initially so it was difficult for her to get everything out & look after customers as well as could be expected (not her fault & she did a great job anyway)
The positives.
Everyone (7 of us) enjoyed the entrees which were plentiful & tasty
It’s a nice atmosphere
All the meals are a generous serving.

A real pity that our evening was ruined by such poor service. We booked a table for 7:30pm but didn’t receive our meal until 9:05pm!!! Really???
And that was only because we managed to chase down someone to take our order. And it certainly didn’t help to see people who had arrived after us finish their meal and leave while we were still waiting. Thankfully the food was good BUT....

Reflections is outstanding. I love lamb and had the lamb dumplings (absolutely delicate and delicious) then had the rack of lamb. Told you I loved lamb. Its hard to describe the flavour and texture of the dumplings - I should have ordered another helping.

Reflections was recommended by a local. Four of us Stayed two nights at the Quality Inn Dubbo and decided we would eat in the first night and check out another restaurant in town the other. However, the food was so good the first night we had to back up for the second. Lamb dumplings were sensational, prawn spring rolls also great, salmon as good as we’ve had anywhere , duck rated top class by a duck expert and my fillet steak just a superb lump of meat perfectly cooked medium rare. Not sure you can get better food that this anywhere!

This restaurant should not be missed. The food is outstanding. It’s located in a three star hotel but it’s a five star restaurant.
For the entree a must are the lamb fried dumplings, very delicious. The main I had was the barramundi fillet with coriander rice, greens & a tasty native spiced broth. Could not resist dessert of sticky date pudding with honeycomb, mascarpone & salted whisky caramel sauce.
There are other wonderful dishes on offer and it’s important to book. With COVID service is quite rapid. But take time to enjoy the food. This place is a gem.

My wife booked Reflections for my birthday dinner whilst we were road tripping around Oz. The meal was excellent, including a very nice affogato for desert.
My birthday is between Christmas and New Year and we found that many of the restaurants in Dubbo shut over this period. So we were very happy to find this one and recommend a meal here when in Dubbo.

I have visited Reflections restaurant Many times over the years, in fact it was my go to place. Tonight I took my partner there for our Anniversary dinner and can't believe how the service has not become service. We first walked on and the girl behind the bar asked how was our meal and our night expecting us to pay the bill. we had only just got there. once we said we had just got to the venue she suggested that we take our seat at the table, however we wanted a pre dinner drink at the bar. Once we had our drink we took our seat at the designated table. 10 minutes later we had to ask for a Menu, the girl serving us said ooops sorry I forgot...really!! Menu was really disappointing considering I had some amazing food experiences at that restaurant. Then when I went to pay the bill the girl at the bar was busy on the I pad and I stood at the bar for what felt like 5 minutes before she acknowledged me. A guest at the bar suggested to her that someone was waiting to pay the bill. What a disappointment, change of owner who obviously doesn't consider service as a priority. Can't believe that a dining experience that was always amazing was sooo poor. I will never go back.

Great atmosphere as you enter the Bar area. Friendly staff, shown to table in the restaurant which also had a friendly vibe. Tables well spaced and staff Covid19 aware wiping down after guests leave.
We shared the bruschetta, lovely balsamic drizzle over bite sized serves.
I had Duck Maryland & my wife the Pork Belly, both dishes were very good. Shared the Chocolate Ganache, death by chocolate. Would be a challenge to eat by yourself. A great dessert.
This motel restaurant punches above its weight. Would thoroughly recommend & would definitely come back again.
Well done to the kitchen and front of house.

The food was perfect. The staff were friendly yet professional. The whole experience was perfect. One of the things that we really noted, and appreciated, was that as we were being seated they didn’t ask us if we wanted a drink before we even took our seats. They said once we were settled they would be back to take our drink or order. A large majority of other restaurants could take a leaf out of their book.

My wife and I had the Scotch Fillet Steak that was very tastless it was cooked perfectly but had no flavour to it.
The kid's had a cheese burger meal and a bowl of fries 4 drinks that came up to $164 I was pretty shocked but it's the norm most places now.
The staff were lovely and attended to our needs much appreciated ladies you done a great job.

I had an excellent steak, cooked as I requested. There was a fine selection of 3 courses to choose from. The panna cotta was a bit stiff and the texture spoiled by unnecessary crumbs but never mind, still delicious! The staff were lovely.
Reflections deserves to be a favorite in Dubbo.
