The staff were very attentive and polite with plenty available to serve. The atmosphere is buzzing with a full restaurant and widely spaced tables and large, well placed plants giving privacy. Clean and well presented.
A very good and varied menu that's well laid out. The food was absolutely delicious and flavoursome. The only drinks they don't do is tea and coffee. I would use this restaurant regularly if it was my local Indian and would highly recommend the Royal India Restobar for travellers and locals. When I go to Dubbo again this will be my first reservation for dinner!

A friend recommended Royal Indian Restobar and we were not disappointed.
The service was excellent, not pushy, just attentive.
We had the butter chicken, chicken jalfreezi and vegetarian biryani, with drinks it was under $100 for three of us.
The food was very tasty and well cooked.
Will definitely be going back next time in Dubbo to try some other dishes.

This was the best Indian restaurant experience I’ve had in Australia. The service & the food were amazing & without fault. Even the bottled beer was really nice & cold, how un-Indian restaurant is that! ;-). Stand out dishes for me were the goat curry, the malai kofta & the chicken tikka. We had such a good dinner here on a Thursday night in June that we booked & went again on the Saturday night & were just as impressed. Yum...

Ordered online for pick up. The wait time was one hour so we called the restaurant as this seems excessive for one dish plus rice. The lady on the phone wasn't particularly friendly; she was immediately defensive and said it could be even more than one hour. We're ready to wait, but are disappointed by the poor customer service.

I did not except to come to Dubbo and find such amazing Indian food! We were promptly seated as soon as we came in and the service was excellent.
They have a great range on the menu and some delicious vegetarian options.
Upon ordering it seemed like our food came out instantly and wow it was delicious, we were incredibly impressed at the flavour and taste of our dishes.
Highly recommend dining at Royal India, you will not be disappointed

We ordered takeaway, service was fantastic. They were able to tell me what was gluten free (the majority of their menu) and suggested a curry for us to try when I couldn’t decide. The food was amazing quality and the fact you can select how hot you want your curries is a bonus. Definitely going back.

It's funny how dining experiences can be influenced by precisely what you order. This is a classy looking restaurant. Tables nicely spaced. Plenty of excellent wait staff. Ours were very attentive and several others checked on our meal during the dining experience. Unfortunately, with what we ordered, the flavours were not to our taste, but that's such an individual thing. The portion sizes were good, prices acceptable, and the wine/drinks list more that adequate.
Regretably, our evening was a little spoiled as our 'medium' heat dishes were a little overpowering.
Don't let this review stop you from visiting and enjoying a very well managed dining establishment.....just check on the heat before ordering.

Beautifully appointed Indian restaurant, great bar, fabulous wine list, you could any drink you wanted here.
So many staff and all amazing, eager to p,ease friendly and accommodating.
Food superb and definitely Sydney standards.
Onion Bhajee crisp and aromatic, chicken tikka moist, flavoursome and beautifully cooked.
Madras curry just the right amount of heat, you are given the choice of mild, medium, hot. I chose medium and it had a kick, husband went hot but thoroughly enjoyed it, Chiken succulent and tasty.
Breads excellent, Pashwari Naan, called something else here, great, as was Aloo paratha .
Can highly recommend this gem, and by the number of people in on a Monday night there are a lot of people who feel the same.

Due to COVID had to book reservation online - received quick confirmation email for booking. Arrived on time and taken to our table. Service was quick and friendly. Quite a large crowd there but didn’t have to wait long to give our order and receive our meal. Shared Prawn Pakora for entree - dish was ok but lacked some flavour. Main course was Goan fish curry for my wife and I had Chicken Madras - we both asked for spicy and were not disappointed, plus Basmati Saffron rice and garlic naan. Overall a very enjoyable meal and evening and would definitely go back again.

Wow... some of the best Indian I have eaten. Greeted by Wonderful friendly staff we arrived without a booking and were quickly shown to a table in this clearly popular large, clean, cool, and nicely decorated restaurant. With drinks on the table within minutes we ordered an entree , two mains, and Naan to share. Shame we were in the road travelling... we would have taken the “doggy bag” offered had we been staying in Dubbo longer! The food was authentic Indian with delicious flavours at the spice level requested.. medium. Best malai kofta ever. So glad we left the motel to find this one!

What great authentic food and service. While Pratap is still learning from his Guru Mentor Pradip we had such a great evening. These guys are running a terrific business and should be very proud of what they have built. It’s a large restaurant with lots of capable and pleasant staff. Prices for both food and wine are very reasonable and we felt well looked after with personal service. The goat and lamb saag were as good as we’ve ever had. Would recommend a visit if you get the chance. Thanks for a great night. Pratap is not really the apprentice here but I couldn’t resist the dig. Cheers and best wishes.

We celebrated a family birthday on Sunday night. The service was efficient and friendly. The restaurant was very well staffed and every need was attended to promptly. My chosen wine was out of stock but I was offered a tasting of two alternatives. Our family voted the cheese and garlic naan bread the best we have ever eaten! The children enjoyed the mild butter chicken and chicken korma. There are nuggets and chips for the little ones but we managed to convince ours to enjoy the beautiful dishes on offer! A great find

We were recommended this place by our accommodation provider so decided to go for dinner. For a Wednesday night they were quite busy but thankfully we were able to get a table.
We opted for the Royal Banquet which was about $45 per person. This was ample food for the two of us and allowed us to try a couple of different curries. My partner had the Mango Chicken and I had the Beef Malabar.
Service was prompt and friendly - it was a little tough to get the attention of staff to get a 2nd drink but that can be forgiven since they were busy so constantly moving.
Food was tasty and well spiced/flavoured. Sometimes you get a curry that is more liquid than substance but these were well balanced with generous portions of meat.
Overall for value for money I have no problem recommending this as a great dinner location. The fitout is certainly something else which giant chandeliers oversized chairs and lux crockery and cutlery.

We dined here based on previous reviews and were not disappointed. This restaurant serves some of the best Indian food that I have ever had. We have an Indian restaurant near us, which has won numerous awards, and the food at Restobar is better. Reasonably priced, decent servings, mains $19. Fully licensed, beers $7, wine $9 glass. Embossed dinnerware and monogrammed napkins. Cloth tablecloths. Excellent service. Would dine here regularly if I were a local.

Quaint restaurant, nice atmosphere, pleasant staff. Food was good and prices reasonable. We had a platter for 2 that cost $44 a head which included a mixed starter plate with sauces, your choice of main, naan, rice and a desert. Value for money if you don't blow the budget on booze lol. Overall an enjoyable experience and we'll go back, noticed small kids menu - about $12 from memory.
