Amazing food, drinks, and service! So many lovely touches, like the owner's son (I think) coming out to give chocolates to the children in our group. We had chai lattes, flat whites, hot chocolates, chilli scrambled eggs, waffles, and pancakes. Everything was incredible.
The staff...were wonderful too, especially the guy who appeared to be the owner and the girl with the tattoos. Thanks for having us!More
We stopped here for brunch on our way through and I can honestly say they were probably the most delicious waffles I have ever had. Like, they were so amazing I will be dreaming about them AND they were Coeliac safe! You can't get better...than safe, delicious waffles!
Apart from the waffles, the coffee was also divine and we got some carrot cake and a piece of caramel slice to take home which were also delicious! Food-wise I can not fault this place at all.
On top of the food, the service was impeccable. From the owners to the wait staff, everyone was so lovely and made us feel very welcome and I don't know how to explain it but the atmosphere was just warm and welcoming; even the other patrons exuded a great sense of community and comradery.
Definitely stop here if you want delicious food as exceptional service (even more so if you're after gluten free fare)!
Also, my doggo loved it here too and they had treats and a water bowl for her too! Another win for me!More
We arrived and were directed to a rocky table. After asking, a couple of wooden wedges stabilised the table.
The food was acceptable - the hot chocolate weak and tepid.
A memorable experience for the wrong reasons.
I am unlikely to visit again
We were looking for a good standard of cafe for lunch and discovered Piccolos and the strong rating in Trip Advisor. The customer reviews were right. Very tasty food, especially the soup and toasted sandwich. And best yet is the quality coffees being produced. A...really good quality. Well done.More
We were a little disappointed and confused why there were so many additional costs. Yes it was a public holiday and they were busy, but service was very slow, food wasn’t on point, things were missed. I placed my order and 10min later I was...told they were out of what I had ordered. My mums sides were missed and my nephews meal didn’t arrive at all until we asked about it (when everyone had finished their meals). When we looked at the bill, I couldn’t work out why it was so much more expensive than expected. We knew there was 10% surcharge for public holiday, but we paid a lot more than that e.g. lumberjack meal was $22 on menu, it was written on docket as $25, then underneath it there was an additional charge, then at the bottom of bill 5% was also added! Just going from $22 to $25 is over 13% price increase, so I have no idea why we paid this as well as other charges…on every drink and food item! If we return to Bathurst, we sadly won’t be returning here. For us it wasn’t a great experience and food wasn’t worth the money (or the number one on trip advisor status). A heater outside would also be a good idea.More
First time into Bathurst, we made a stop at Piccolo (based on TripAdvisor listing) to feed the kids. Not only was the food super YUMS, it’s one of those cafe with a beautiful soul with owner Sophie & her mum so warm, friendly and big...hearted. Highly recommended were the sweet treats all homemade by Sophie’s mum. A MUST TRY is the carrot cake which is soooooo good! Coffee and freshly squeezed juice were very good too. Looking forward to breakfast there tomorrow.More
In the wise words of Hilary Duff:
“Hey now, this is what dreams are made of”.
The food was out of this stratosphere delicious and the staff (especially Andy) are adorable, polite, fast paced and attentive.
10/10 would do. Again and again and again.
