Just don’t bother. The place was empty with only 2 couples inside. The cook continued to turn customers away as they entered. The waitress had a dirty apron on. Coffees arrived after we ate and only because we had to ask where they were. Food...and the views of the bay were great, but that doesn’t compensate for the rude attitude of the cook and explains why the place was empty. Every time we walked past of the Easter Weekend there was never more than a few customers inside.More

I wish i had read these reviews before we had breakfast there today. This is the first time ever that i have had undrinkable coffee... I asked for a soy latte however I am unsure what was served to me, I do know that it...was horribly curdled and lumpy, I couldn't stop looking at it! ..pancakes were ordinary and the big breakfast boring with burnt toast. We were the only people in the place and it had just opened, yet the waitress had on a filthy apron and food crumbs around her mouth, which was pretty off-putting. On the upside thw view was incredible.More

We hear so much about Location! Location! Location! being so important and this restaurant owns what must be Batemans Bay’s best! About 7.00 p.m. on a Tuesday evening… But… no-one in this restaurant at all. Curious, we thought. Nevertheless, we decided to have a look....We signed in with the QR code and stepped inside… There was only one person in the restaurant (waiter? cook?) and he immediately ran towards us screaming: “Sign in! Sign in! Sign in!” The look was pure Anthony Perkins in the denouement scene from “Psycho”… a demented look! What would you do? Quietly explain that you had already signed in, question why with this Location!! Location! Location! it was empty… or just leave? We left. We walked up the Esplanade and found a very busy restaurant (we had to wait for a table) with great food and friendly staff. The following evening, we walked past the Ebb & Flow on our way to a better restaurant: there were two people in there. On the third evening, on our way to the Club across the road (excellent food, great staff) we again passed the Ebb & Flow and again there were only two people in there.. or were the same two from the previous evening still awaiting service from the Norman Bates lookalike? I find it hard to understand how a restaurant with what must be Batemans Bay’s best Location! Location! Location! could be so uninviting.More

The restaurant is on the ground floor of the Esplanade Motel and offers room service to guests. We found the service to be prompt and the food of a high standard and decent sized proportions. Dietary requests were not a problem.

New York steak reasonably priced and cooked to perfection. Great wine list, lovely chicken dish. We had a wonderful experience and we have dined in the best restaurants in Australia.

Very disappointing restaurant. Extremely expensive menu with average food and extremely small portions.

Ebb and Flow is a steak house restaurant on Beach Road in Batemans Bay town centre. The location is good with excellent water views into the actual Bay Area. The menu is very limited and revolves around steak and some seafood. The restaurant is licenced...for alcohol. The meals were okay, the portion sizes for the salad, fries, vegetables is very small. There are also limited options for starters and dessert. Overall I thought the restaurant, for what we got, was overpriced. The location is good, as was the service, so it is a good restaurant - but could be better.More

Well we decided to go here because it was within walking distance from our accommodation. Told was booked out till 8.30 pm. We walked down earlier and the restaurant was empty. We went in early. Ordered a bottle of wine. Sorry not available but we...have this one it’s $18 more is that OK. No sorry. Ok we will have this one. Sorry we have sold out of that one as well as the next one. We ordered Bruschetta toasted on one side and drowned in Olive oil. We requested the Rump Medium, sadly we had to send it back. In the end an expensive mistake. The staff were also trying to close up early for NYE.More

Very disappointing, incredibly overpriced, average meal. No atmosphere and not much good to say about any of it sadly.
