The Goldfish Bowl is a café and bakery and I think it would stand out even in the inner city of a capital city. It has a good ambience and it was very busy, even at 10.30 am on a weekday during school term. Their bread is excellent as is their coffee. We didn’t order a meal but these look... More

I always stop in for a coffee when visiting Armidale. Funky decor, great coffee, good and healthy food. And in nice weather you can sit outside. Highly recommend.

We had a fantastic surprise here. Really good muesli and spicy jasmine rice with eggs. Best breakfast ever! The service was mixed. Friendly enough. But it was supposed to be table service and we had to go to the counter to order. Then the meals took an age to arrive. We would happily return.

Sometimes you need to remember you are not in a capital city when you visit rural regions. I thought these people were doing a good job of providing something a bit out of the box. Meals were good, I had the zucchini fritters and they were really nice, others had the squid and steak sandwiches. No complaints. It is a... More

Well id have to say that the coffee was ok and the woodfired pizza was quite nice. The down side was that I had to sit on a milk crate and I felt like Id fail the crowd because i didnt arrive in a subaru forester, or a postie bike or a push-bike. Id also left my hemp shirt in... More

Love this café :) Never fail to impress! By far the best café in Armidale ( I'm a local..) I recommend the waffles or the avocado & poached eggs for breakfast, the lunch menu is always changing, but the the pies & sausage rolls are always on the menu and they are superb + the Strawberry Tarts & Health tonic... Found this spot on trip adviser and it did not disappoint. Brilliant coffee, amazing waffles (sweet tooth required), the staff were wonderful, the guy working the floor was engaging, nothing was too much, and made our day watching him work within a small very busy cafe/bakery with a smile and lots of zeal, a credit to the Gold fish bowl!...
