Delicious Italian food, fair pricing left happy

Both service and food were exceptional and beyond our expectations, particularly as we were walk-in dinners on a Thursday evening. GRAZIE MILLE.. The best meal of our stay (so Far) & definitely on our list to eat at when we are in Albury.

JUST PERFECT

We have been looking for Italian restaurant in Albury and this was an excellent choice. The food was delicious. The garlic bread we ordered were the best so far I have eaten in Australia and so was the polo fungi. An evening well spent.

Excellent Pizza

We has a first rate vegetarian pizza (Gourmet Vegetarian). Toppings were generous, with a good variety and excellent thin pizza pizza base. Great flavour. Service by staff was attentive and very helpful. Highly recommend this pizza restaurant when in Albury. Within easy walking distance of the Hovel Tree Inn if staying there! Price point of pizza was very good and not excessive (unlike some!)

Absolutely appalling service

Absolutely appalling service and food! We waited over an hour to receive take away food that was inedible. The “chocolate mousse” was made from packet powder and not even mixed correctly - with lumps of powder. The pasta was disgusting and under cooked and the lasagna did not have any meat sauce to be seen. We were handed the food and told “this is your homemade....whatever it is!” And don’t bother complaining, they are rude and do not take feedback or assist the customer.

Tasty by completely overcharged

Food was nice. However we ordered one family pizza (traditional toppings) to share between 4, 2 x glasses of wine in total & 2 soft drinks. Split the bill in 1/2 with the other couple but noticed after we left that in total we were charged $78….. must’ve been charged $50 for 1 pizza! Not great :-(

Worst gnocchi ever!!

Stayed at Hume Motel and was glad to see the restaurant attached as we were tired and hungry. Wait staff appeared to be overrun though restaurant was not particularly full; had to wait at least 5 minutes to be attended to. Took menus and was advised that they would come and take our order ASAP however we could come back to the counter to place our order once we had decided which is what eventuated. We ordered an entree to share which proved adequate though nothing startling. We both ordered gnocchi for our mains with different sauces. One bite was enough to know that gnocchi was completely overcooked, more like mashed potatoes than pasta, worst gnocchi I have ever had in a restaurant. I was unable to eat it and picked out chicken and mushrooms where I was able to identify them in the nondescript mush on the plate. Very disappointing.

Don't get the gnocci

Went out for mothers day, they had 3 staff, 2 were lovely, lady with the hair net was so rude. The gnocci was basically mashed potato, the next table said the same, uneditable really. We spoke to the lady attending front that just nodded and still charged full price. None of us could eat our meal yet no apologies when we said it was awful. I never complain anywhere but this was bad.

Can't judge a book...

Unassuming little restaurant attached to a 3 and a half star hotel. Spelling mistakes through the menu.... But... Really friendly and attentive staff. Chips were good. Daughter loved the garlic prawns (and she is fussy about her garlic prawns). Pizza was really good too. Bruscetta could have done with a bit of balsamic vinegar to boost the flavour, but overall a good meal

Thanks for a wonderful birthday party!

We had my daughter’s 13th birthday party there last night, during our stay in Albury for a tennis tournament. It was a last miniature arrangement to have 24 tennis friends (14 kids and 10 parents )come along after matches, and celebrate my daughter’s birthday , also it was their reunion as Team Victoria. The owners and his family staff all super friendly and supportive, I couldn’t ask more, they helped me with decorating the outdoor space, which was perfect for a noisy kids group dinner . Everyone had a great evening, all loved the food and time together! Thanks you ! Highly recommended!!!👍👍👍

No frills but nice staff and decent food.

Just had. Dinner there, Sunday night, only dinner, couple. Of takeaways came in and half a dozem delivery blokes. Staff, wait girl and owner chef, i hadthe Bisteak steak, mushroom sauce, chips and salad garnish, plus couple of merlots. Only had to wai20 minutes, food was good, reasonable porter house steak. Brown bros merlot. $46 not bad.recommended.

Amazing rissoto and pizza

Great service, great ambience and good food. Loved the pizza and the attitude of the staff. It was already after kitchen closing time but they took the order and allowed us to dine-in. Overall a good experience.

Good Food and Excellent Service

We had dinner here two nights while at the Paddlesteamer Motel. The service was friendly and cheerful, the food very good and the prices reasonable. Definitely recommend.

Great Pizza!
