We were keen to dine here again after a fabulous meal here about 18 months ago. We weren’t disappointed! Another delicious meal full of flavour. We began with the eggplant chips in tamarind dip and the salt and pepper squid with spicy cauliflower. Delicious!! Amazing...fusion flavours that complemented each other really well. We had the butter chicken lasagne and the ricotta gnocchi with spicy lamb for mains. The butter chicken was rich, the pumpkin in the lasagne had picked up the flavours of the butter chicken sauce which was great. The stand out though was the lamb gnocchi … it was AMAZING!! The lamb was so tender yet full of flavour. We shared a chai pannacotta which was delicious, a great end to the meal. The staff are friendly and helpful and it was lovely to again see the chef come out and check in on diners. Tables were well spaced and cleaned between diners. It was great to see that the wine list consists of regional wines only. Although the range is limited, it is well selected to the good options. It was wonderful to finally get back and enjoy this clever fusionMore

I found this place on TripAdvisor whilst on a quick visit to Albury. We were super happy with this place! Everything from the service, modern feel of the space and the amazing food, it was all spot on. Traditional Indian cuisine and had plenty of...vegetarian options and vegan dishes which suited us. We recommended the Vegan Thali & fried cauliflower. Well priced and highly recommendedMore

We had an excellent experience here on a stopover between Sydney and Melbourne. I have food intolerances and the owner/ chef took the time to come out and go through the entire menu, explaining which dishes I could and could not have and which ones...they could modify for me. This level of personal service was very much appreciated and rare to find anywhere, even in much more expensive restaurants. He explained the traditional Indian way of eating and combining the various dishes and our food was exceptionally tasty. We have been travelling for 10days and thus was a highlight of our tripMore

Best Indian restaurant ever! Food and service was exceptional. For a celiac, it’s always difficult to dine out but there’s a huge selection of gluten free options on the menu. Even had one of the owners at our table explaining the ingredients and cooking method...in a dish I’d selected. Highly recommend this restaurant to anyone either visiting or living in Albury.More

Really unique and tasty Indian Fusion Restaurant. Aside from the delicious fish curry, we also had the Haloumni Sliders. Very creative. We also appreciated a staff member coming out to ask if we were concerned about a bit of spice. It was a nice touch

The decor of Cafe Dalchini is not your typical Indian (or Italian) restaurant so upon entering you may question what the food will be like. We chose to eat traditional Indian dishes and O.M.G. This has been some of the BEST tasting Indian meal we...have had in a very long time. Each dish, from the traditional entrees, to mains, to sides were all individually flavoursome - hard to explain what happens but for example the beef chennai was tender and fresh, with a subtle hint of cardamom that is not overwhelming but has you fighting over who gets the last bit of gravy from the bowl! Your palate will enjoy the party of flavour buzzing in your mouth. If you like it ‘hot’ and family does not, ask for some chillies on the side - a lovely fresh green sauce that will certainly give you that Indian food ‘hot’ hit. Some wines available, but BYO wine otherwise. Beer available also, small but decent range. Friendly efficient staff and food moderate and appropriately priced. If you are after a great Indian meal, do not overlook Cafe Dalchini!More

We tried this restaurant for an evening meal when on a road trip interstate and were so pleased we did. It is called a cafe but the decor has more of a smart restaurant feel with a long bar and stylish lighting. You can choose...from many traditional Indian dishes but there are also lots of dishes where the chef has used Indian ingredients in an unusual style. We shared a plate of the traditional Chicken Tikka Masala with a fusion inspired Malai Kofta & Pasta ( kofta cheese and pea dumplings in a buffalo mozzarella sauce) together with steamed rice and garlic Naan bread. We finished off with chocolate Persian love cake and ice cream. It was all absolutely delicious! Service was very good and the meals very reasonably priced. I am sorry we don’t live anywhere near Albury to go again soon!More

Creative Indian fusion with something for everyone. Was hard to choose from all the yummy choices but when we did we were not disappointed. Everything was super tasty, good sized portions and well presented. Good wine selection and byo, lovely staff and service and super...clean modern minimalist dining room. We will definitely return and highly recommend it to everyone.More
