Nice casual ambiance. My wife had the fish of the day which was delicious. I had the ribeye which was poor quality chewy meat that arrived cold.

We turned up with no booking and waited at the bar, very funny people to chat to! The owner came and sat with me, she was lovely and we had a good laugh at the locals who were hilarious about us Aucklanders 🤣😂 it was...all good fun, and the food was beautiful too!!More

We booked this restaurant after reading the reviews on Tripadvisor. The food and service was first class. A bonus was catching up with an old friend from the West Coast who has lived in Te Anau for the past 20 years. Great night.

Great location- well appointed - wonderful staff Great range of wines and great selection of main meals. Around reception were a number of awards promoted - but the Chef responsible no longer works here All mains were to a good standard but did feel the...Rhubarb desert was served far to hot.More

Superb quality of food. Bread starter delightful, venison and blue for mains delicious, and we had room for two wonderful desserts. Great service, cozy surroundings and tap beer was great. Highly recommended and #1 for a reason.

Our experience at Redcliff was mixed - we booked weeks before our trip, but on the night got seated in a doorway and because they had a large group outside on a cold autumn night one waitress felt it was easier to leave the door...open and so we sat in a cold draft half the time even though we had asked for the door to be closed. Our waitress was very sorry for this. The food was ok - the salmon salad was mostly red onion but the mains were tasty. They were accomodating with taking the dairy out of my main - as no choice on menu without dairy. Given location, price was ok.More

Me and my wife visited with her parents and we all put the meals in our top 3 ever! The entrees were delicious and were followed by four stunning mains of venison, lamb, pork belly and steak. All of them were cooked and flavoured to...perfection! Service was also very good. You won't find a better place to eat in town.More

We recently dined here with another couple during a stay in Te Anau. I have to admit that this is nearly one month ago now and I can't recall who ate what but we all enjoyed our meals and the overall experience. The only downside...was, that on arrival, we got chatting to a guy who was travelling alone and seated at a bar table at the front of the restaurant. We were really enjoying this chat but when we front of house waitress if we could have a drink here before being seated out the back she declined. Not sure why as they weren't that busy or looking like they were turning the tables over in a hurry as we left. Other than that...all good/all happy thanks Redcliff.More

We did see some people collecting take away but can’t tell you if it was a substantial meal or just a snack

Pretty sure they do not serve any halal food anywhere in Te Anau.
