The food was just ok. We both had rib eyes, mine was fine but husbands was full of grisle. Nothing to recommend. Thought it was fine dining, but wasn't. Slow service. The place needs to be remodeled. The chairs were uncomfortable. It looked like an outdated nightclub.

Queenstown has lots of restaurants and eating establishments to offer so if your reading reviews you will be wanting to make the most of your experiences in the resort town so here is my two cents.. Go elsewhere save your money and time poor service disappointing food and a dry atmosphere . With so many great places to dine will... More

The entrance needs doing up, the stairs look dangerous, it is a prime place but could be so much more, I enjoyed a ginger beer more than the food, the ginger beer was really good

Our table of 10 ordered rib eye steak, salmon, and pasta. Every one of us said the main dish was excellent so I unhesitatingly recommend Prime Waterfront Restaurant and Bar. Other dishes on the menu included sirloin steak, fillet mignon, rack of lamb, fish of the day, venison ribs, and more. “Entrée’s” included seafood chowder, sautéed scallops, and king prawns,... My husband and I were starved getting back from an amazing tour and wanted to treat ourselves to an upscale early dinner. We got to Prime right at 5 pm and were shocked that the place was EMPTY except for one couple sitting by the window. I went to the restroom and was shocked that my husband was still standing... Definitely recommend the steak. Steak cooked exactly as ordered. Service was good and I would definitely return.

Prime view, prime steak and prime service! The staff were all delightful and the food sated the appetites of two hungry souls. There was a presentation night while we were there for a cycling club. We were warned that this might delay orders, despite that it really didn't and did not intrude upon our evening at all. The acid test... More

Great location with very good food. I decided to try venison ribs considering they raise deer on farms. They were excellent with the meat falling off the bone. There was also no gamey flavor that you sometimes get with wild deer. They also came with a lot of very good fries. Unfortunately our server decided she would spend more time... More

This restaurant has a "prime" waterfront position but the décor, food and service do not measure up the same. The décor is very tired, untidy and smelly over by the side wall , don't think anything has changed since we went there a year ago! The menu could do with some more innovative options. The staff are friendly but casual.... More
