Four of us really enjoyed the evening . We were seated at the rear of the restaurant which has perhaps a more fine dining feel. Blue cod, green lip mussels, and my local fish with pea risotto were all excellent. Nice dessert of pavlova. Gibbston...More

We came to this restaurant with great expectations, as our friends , who are flounder devotees , had been anticipating amazing local fresh Flounder . Coming from Australia , they expected that the local flounder would be a large size .The waitress told us that...More

Thank you very much for your feedback and I can assure you that I will look into the misunderstanding. We source fresh yellow belly flounder from either Nelson or Riverton at the bottom of the South Island. We buy a grade D which is between...More

The restaurant has the ambiance of a cafe. Although we had early reservations and the restaurant was essentially empty we were placed in a booth by the kitchen. The bread ($9NZ) was a small loaf of Italian bread, barely warm, served with butter- aka very...More

Good size, nice combination of both cold and warm preparations of fish. Was perfect! Cloudy Bay bubbels to begin with (good combination with the otsters) and a bottle of Pinot Gris from the Otago region to accompany the platter. Definitely a recommend for this place.

Overall my wife and I were disappointed with the food in Queenstown. A lot of places were over-priced and didn't deliver on taste. One exception to that was Fishbone Bar & Grill. We had dinner here twice, and during those meals we tried the clam...More

Portions of the entrees were really small for the kind of price they charged. Ordered the clams entree and just a meagre 5 shells on the plate. Mains were hits and misses. Southland Gumbo was quite flavorful but the flounder was very average. Had better...More

We are sorry to hear that Fishbine did not meet your expectations. Wherever in the world, you are dining, if you are not happy with your meal it is important to let the wait staff know so the restaurant can try and help.
