The best dinner we had while in Queenstown and as always the best wine. Had the chefs choice for dinner and we couldn't fault it. Perfection on every level and wine matching was perfect and generous. Service excellent.

We stopped by here on our way back to town and thought we'd have some lunch. They were fully booked and don't have any space for walk ins which is a shame considering this is a tourist area. So make sure you book in far in advance! We did a tasting and the first lady we had was not very... More

On a warm summers evening we arrived at Amisfield , a reservation for 4 for chefs choice dinner with wine option . A selection of plates flowed from the kitchen like a well oiled machine , fine food, fine wine and fine service. From fat hen miniature tacos, smoked koura, steak tartare, paua pie, smoked Canterbury eel, trumpeter, tomato consommé,... More

We had a "trust the chef" dinner with wine pairings. It was one of the best meals of our lives. The pairings were perfect. Everything was brilliantly timed, apportioned, and presented -- and tasted delicious. An equivalent meal in Napa would cost $300 per person. Apparently lunch is when this place is busy. Dinner was very quiet and we had... More

Stunning cellar door and bistro. Tastings 10$ for five wines, refunded if you buy a bottle. Beautiful views through picture windows. Classy terrace. Food and service looked outstanding. Customers all well dressed for Friday lunch at our visit although we were welcomed in our outdoor gear and the children played outside. Superb Pinot noir.

This my fourth dining experience at Amisfield. The service is exemplary and many thanks to our Frenchman Ronan, Daniel the Kiwi and David the MD. Also had a swell time with the Brazilian Rodriguo in the tasting area. The ambience is very much Central Otago with rock and timber. I was keen to order ala carte but my winemaker friend... More

Def make sure you book this place well in advance - it is full for lunch and dinner every day of the year and with good reason. We did "Trust The Chef" which was delicious and very good value for money. The restaurant is only a 10 minute drive from the airport so we went here for lunch on our... More

Had the "Trust the Chef" - amazing. $95 per head excluding wine - well worth it. So beautiful, eating food I would never have eaten and absolutely delicious.

The Chef's Surprise lunch is truly First Class. Take a cab - four glasses of wine if you opt for the alcohol. Service matched the quality food preparation and presentation.
