Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Been here before, quiet location, warm open fire and mixture or comfy chairs, tables and barstools. Didn’t eat but had a mulled wine and couple of cocktails, went in early evening. Fantastic staff, welcoming and chatty. Would definitely recommend

Not sure of food or drink as wasn’t served after 30 minutes when the place was almost empty. Instead of serving us after the long wait they called team meeting and started to chug shots. We walked out without saying a word and they had...a go at us, quite ridiculous. Reviews go back to 2016 with very similar experiences.More

Friendly mixologist with real flair in his craft. BEAUTIFUL cocktails followed by an extensive selection of various plonk with varying percentages of alcohol. I found a very nice red and the pour felt generous. The fire was delicious to relax in front of. We determined...to come back for a nightcap after dinner, but sadly never made it. A definite for my next trip to Queenstown.More

Queenstown is a throbbing centre of nightlife bars and quayside restaurants the season through. A barmy evening in February led us to sample the atmosphere in this bar. The drinks menu revealed over 100 single malts, more wines than you could recite in a day...including 4 vintage champagnes. The cocktails mixed by Woody were fantastic. Top this off with a lovely log fire when the temperature drops then you would be foolish to miss out on this venue. The r’n b, funky ballads and reggae made for foot tapping and the odd desire to demonstrate our karaoke talents, but thankfully the lure of another tasty cocktail distracted us.More

Excellent cocktails. Warm and inviting venue tucked away in a back lane in the heart of Queenstown. Warm (with open fire) and welcoming. Very knowledgable staff. Try a Money Shot - sweet but delicious. A great place to kick on after dinner.

I tried to order drinks at this bar. Staff were extremely slow and then rudely ignored me. Left without ordering. Plenty of better choices in queenstown.

What a fabulous bar! We were recommended Bardeaux by a few different locals...we were not disappointed. Nice chillaxed vibe with awesome tunes and delicious cocktails. The bartenders were so lovely and attentive. Very easy to just sit back and watch the world go by!

Amazing experience and great little bar hidden down an alleyway. Sit by the fire and be served different types of whisky. Shout out to the bartender Will. He knows his stuff and had a pretty choice music list playing. My jam.

Used to be great....!!! Atmosphere, music, staff, open fire attributed Bardeaux as a great queenstown venue. After a recent visit the fellow managing or manning the bar was dismally average and the atmosphere of past has been ignored 🙁

We love it here, it's warm, the seating is comfy and there's a beautiful fireplace. There's a special atmosphere. The bar tenders know their stuff and whip up cocktails and other drinks beautifully, not phased by how many people are pouring in.

This wine, whisky, and cocktail bar is a relaxing place to chat with friends or bar staff (if they're not too busy!). It has an outside deck and chairs and couches inside, and a very impressive selection of drinks! The staff are friendly, kind, and...welcoming, even if you just want a beer! I went there a few times, one time was very quiet, but otherwise it was comfortably busy, given the lack of tourists. Recommended for a drink and a chat.More

Huge shout out to Max who was the only one bar tending on a very busy night! He kept his composure and still provided amazing cocktails. Great atmosphere as well.
