Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.

Soft, succulent, non greasy, flavoursome and simply surprisingly delicious. Key tip, be early we ate outside in a drizzle (oh eat it hot and not reheated) and when we left at 5.30pm they have sold out. Seriously order this with a side of peas for $80 and you’ll be rewarded for the 20 mins walk from town centre. Don’t miss this place!

We ordered a shoulder of lamb on line and it was waiting for us on collection. The lamb was delicious and there was enough (both lamb and potatoes) for us to have a further meal the following day. If you want a tasty meal at exceptional value then try Pedro’s; you won’t be disappointed.

The best dinner meal we had in Queenstown! It pays to check their website and call in advance to check things instead of assuming. There was limited outdoor seating and no table service which was fine for us (4 adults). We asked if we could bring our own drinks and they were happy to oblige. At pick up, the lamb smelt soo good, meat was so flavoursome, tender and succulent, potatoes very tasty and the ciabatta speaker up the sauces so well. We sat and enjoyed the meal at the outdoor table, didn’t mind sharing with another family. The portion was good for us, 2 very hungry adults and 2 small eater adults. Food was enjoyed by everyone and we finished every bite. So glad we did this for our last dinner in Queenstown and would definitely do it again the next time we are in town. 100% recommend!

We pre-ordered the takeaway lamb shoulder as a click and collect from the Gorge St location as it was close to our accommodation. It was an excellent takeaway option for the final night of our holiday - the lamb shoulder was tender and delicious, and not overly fatty. The accompanying potatoes were in the same dish so had soaked up a lot of the tasty juices. We did not order any other sides as we cooked our own greens. This was a generous meal for our family of 3, it would probably feed 2 adults and 2 kids. Definitely recommended!

This is our 3rd location in New Zealand and we finally found a restaurant that appreciates flavorful dishes. This is a tapas style restaurant. We ordered the lamb montaditos, calamari and chorizo, and the daily salad.
The lamb set atop some mint and bread with the heavenly smoked paprika was crazy good. The calamari, chorizo and potatoes had a wonderful flavor also. Also was looking for a nice green salad - like a Greek salad with olives, roasted tomatoes, cokes- perfectly satisfying.
Staff was very busy yet never ignored the customer's needs.
Highly recommend! Maybe we'll revisit when we go to Christchurch!

We ordered the lamb roast from the Gorge Rd shop on line for pickup. Ordering was simple & ready for pickup at the time selected. The lamb was very tender & came with scalloped potatoes & we added our own green salad leaves There was plenty left for a dinner the following evening for the 2 of us.
I would highly recommend for an easy roast dinner after a long day cycling or walking.

We travelled as a couple with our 9 month old (we believe well behaved) baby. The service staff seemed inconvenienced by us. The food for a tapas restaurant came out extremely staggered. We waited half an hour between two plates. The expensive lamb dish had a pool of water underneath and half a plate full of barely cooked potatoes. With so many amazing places to eat recommend giving this place a miss especially if traveling with small children.

Absolutely best lamb we have ever had, hands down! If you like lamb, this is the place you want to get it. The lamb is marinated and cooked to perfection. Could not have been any more tender. Served with potatoes and an au jus, it was delicious! Did not plan to eat here but just happened across it while driving by and decided to give it a try and it did not disappoint! So glad we made the decision to stop. The portion in one order is more than enough to feed at least two people (if not three).

Drove past this location and it sounded great, jumped on the website to see what they offered and realised it was one thing! It is lamb should and scalloped potatoes, you can add sides, if needed. It was really yummy and fell off the bones. We ordered 1 box which was enough for 3 people easily, we added 1 side. They don’t currently deliver but you can pre order and pick up quite easily, whole process was very simple

I am so full. Pedro’s didn’t disappoint. We got a lamb/potatoes and an extra portion of potatoes for three of us and it was too much. But sooooo good. Tender, juicy, perfect lamb and lush potatoes. I just wish I’d come back from a multi-day trek before so my appetite would’ve been redlining.
Def do it.

Well. Family meal takeaway style. Lamb shoulder was roasted and very tender. Potatoes were sliced and prepared well. Peas had a mint seasoning. The cole slaw style salad came pre-dressed. Kiwi food lacks much of the seasoning I am used to. I added salt and cracked pepper

On holiday with my family holiday in Queenstown, and wanted our traditional Good Friday Lamb shoulder.
This was one the best land shoulders I’ve ever had.
2 shoulders comfortably fed 8 adults and a few 3 or 4 kids.

The high rating and positive comments for Pedro's House of Lamb intrigued us so paid a visit in our car. Although the food is delivered takeaway style there are no tables in the outlet to eat so we found a bench in the park which wasn't very satisfactory. The lamb and scalloped potatoes were certainly tender, but sadly without much flavour. The description on their website was much more enticing than the end result. Overall the whole experience was a bit of a disappointment.

I was gonna give a two but literally dropped to a one.
Family of four. Paying the same money as everyone on the same menu and expecting the same service.
But felt a lot different than expected.
Firstly, everyone (staff) swivelled around us like we were a rock in a river. So that was a turn off.
Second, kids has some nachos we ordered from outside. Upon politely asking them if they can have them here, we were Strictly TOLD that we are a restaurant and wont allow any outside food.
But the silver lining was when it started raining and my wife went to request to covered seating space, options were sit and eat in rain or leave. Full stop. No compassion or empathy. Just pay and eat in whatever circumstances or go.
Very disappointed. This was our last night in qtown and wanted a relaxed evening. Not what we expected.
Just fyi. We r brown. Not sure if that made a difference to the entire equation.

After grazing over some anti-pasto and vinos, at our apartment before heading downtown queenstown for the night, we settled on outdoor table at Pedro's for some Tapas. Good decision made, ordered 5 Tapas dishes between the four of us with some breads to soak up the oils and sauces. They were all tasty and got devoured. The garlic prawns and patatas bravas were as good as any tapas I had in Spain. The stuffed nushroons and mussels were also very good.
Only dissappointment was the jug of Sangria was a bit watery and weak , a bit of quick thinking by buying another glass of red to top up the jug then made it what it should have tasted like. Plenty of heaters to keep all warm on a chilly August nite made for a good nite. On ya Pedro's, recommend for Tapas
