Another couple and my wife and I were in Queenstown for three nights in November. We ate breakfast one morning at Joe's Garage and enjoyed it so much we went back a couple of days later. Good, hearty breakfasts cooked the way you like them. Great eggs, well done streaky bacon (by request), good bread and delicious porridge. Friendly, helpful... More

Joes came recommended by plenty of friends so naturally I tried it and I wasn't disappointed. Met at the door by a dude who was funny as fark, you'll know him when you meet him. I have been back now for 3 days in a row, deadset all round awesomeness! Trust me, try it!!

First off, excellent food and coffee. I had the Trevor and could have gone into a food coma afterward had it not been for the great coffee. Place is first come first serve, and gets pretty packed, so definitely not the place if you're in a rush.

I had been to Joes many years ago to which back then it was closer to a bistro style experience with well cooked well presented food and coffee. Sadly those days are gone as we watched the cook throw things from various premade buckets on to the same electric grill and churn out dish after dish in a scrape and... More

To say the servings are generous is an understatement. You will not walk away hungry. Schnitzel and chips with gravy was great. Prices are OK and the staff are very friendly.

Expensive for the meal provided. Ceasar's salad with no anchovies, dirty glasses and the bottle and friendly staff are the first things that comes to my mind. I wouldn't visit again.

I like Joes Garage. The staff are very friendly and the menu has great choices that all taste great. I like that the quality of the food is consistent and the prices reasonable. I enjoyed a great schnitzel.A good option if you are hungry and want a good meal.

Arrived for a late breakfast . The place was totally buzzing and we found a great seat at the bar . Placed our orders and we're entertained by the frenetic pace that the staff were pursuing . 30 to 40 minute wait for breakfast was a bit over the top though and little things like getting a glass of water... When I saw pikelets on the menu, I was reminded of home, as I've never seen these anywhere outside of Staffordshire in the UK, so I ordered them. A pikelet to me would be like an oatcake with raisins added, however it was more like a pancake without the raisins (afterwards I realised that the Aussies and Kiwis didn't visit... More

The original Joe's Garage opened in 2000, situated in an old Post Office sorting room in Queenstown. There are now seven Joe's around NZ and the concept is the same now as it was then- to be a Cafe that everybody can go to and enjoy exceptional coffee and food presented by attentive and enthusiastic staff, listen to cool music, and above all, have a lot of fun in an efficient "garage" environment.
