Yonder offers a charming atmosphere that guests have called out, complete with cozy interiors and a vibrant outdoor terrace. While the unique and tasty food options earn praise, some travelers report frustrations with unpredictable and long wait times. Opinions on Yonder's value are divided; the atmosphere and food quality receive commendations, but service inconsistencies occasionally mar the experience. The service itself varies, with reports of both friendly attentiveness and slower, less consistent interactions.

Coffee to die for! We had the pork eggs benedict for brunch - delicious. Lovely courtyard to sit in and enjoy the winter sun.

We came for a late last minute dinner on a Saturday night so it was super busy, as was everywhere else. The food was great, service was great and the live music they had that night was all the vibe 😍 The only downside was that we waited over 45mins for our dinner which was a little difficult after a while with 3 young kids. They set the expectation for the wait when we sat at our table so that definitely made it easier and we really appreciated the communication. Overall a great experience

Attractive building drew us in! Waited a bit for the food but the presentation was spectacular when it arrived. I had the pork Benny and my husband had the French toast- he rates it the best French toast he has ever had! Pork on the pork Benny so tender and tasty. Music was light and created a delightful brunch atmosphere. We will come back.

Visited yonder in February 2020. Loud atmosphere on a Saturday night. Food was OK maybe I'd give it a B rating. The miso pumpkin bits were fried and overcooked. Calamari was good, but not as good as we had the day before at Blue Kanu next door. Eat your greens were fresh and tasty. Brazilian beef had some unique tastes and the beef was really rare like I like it. Nice atmosphere, but our choices did not shed the best light on the place. Service a bit slow, but somewhat expected on a Saturday night. Would give it a second chance to get a higher rating.

We really wanted to try this place last night so we arrived without a booking. The lady at the front said they'll have free tables in 30 minutes so I asked for our name to be put down. We arrived 30 minutes later as agreed only to be told that people came in for a drink only to decide to then have a meal. Somehow, I dont think she was sincere about putting our name does or giving us a table. We went to Blue Kanu next door instead.

If you feel like having brunch in a cool and funky spot, then Yonder is the place to be. For a visual review of Yonder, check out our best places to eat in Queenstown vlog in our Youtube channel Cai & Dee, link in our profile. The decor gives the funky ambiance makes it a popular spot for the young ones. Yonder have regular events such as live music, stand up comedy and more. Do check out their events page if you’re keen on one of these events. We ordered the brunch tacos, in a soft taco shell ($19). The eggs were light and fluffy and the bacon was crispy giving the taco that crunchy texture. The coleslaw was fresh and dressed well. Their coffees were great too! A good go to for brunch when in Queenstown.

I had heard good things about the place - on arrival we were escorted outside in the 7 degrees raining evening (there was a roof covering) but still freezing... Food was average but the service was disgusting!!! Food was finished and was waiting for another drink, no staff came to offer, so we went inside to order - inside we were told to go back outside as it was table service only. Back outside our seats were already taken and wine was serviced. Will not be going there again...

Hey Bee, We're absolutely gutted to hear about your experience and we'll be bringing it up with our staff. We've had to seat people on our heated and covered patio because we were at capacity inside due to level 2 COVID restrcitions. Table service is not our normal and we're sorry it showed in the way it did. Rest assured we're a different restaurant under level 1 and we hope that you'll try us again.

Stopped in round 9.30am for brekkie, lots of tables free. Order at the bar. Lovely helpful staff at counter. Coffee came within 10mins and food was awesome! Had the dragon fruit bowl with fresh fruit and granola, wheat free friendly really yummy and filling. Also had the gluten free pancakes, also vegan and diary free - so good, fresh and beautifully presented. Two of us shared both and were very satisfied after. Cost $49 for tumeric latte, cappa and the two dishes. Would totally come again, yum!

We spent a long time walking around Queenstown centre looking for some where to eat. We had been recommended Yonder by friends who live in Queenstown. It turned out to be a very, very good recommendation indeed. The staff were delightful from the outset and had that magical balance of being attentive to our needs without being over bearing. Which is difficult at the best of times but there were really busy so it was even more impressive. The food was most enjoyable we had the Chicken burger with was moist and tasty and the Mega burger which was full of flavour. The portions were generous and we were very full at the end. The drinks were fun as well. At the moment due to Covid they are a shared operation with World Bar this means we were able to have one of World Bars teapot cocktails and loved it. We tend not to return to the same restaurant when we go away but on this trip we made an exception and paid a return visit and once again the food and service was excellent

On a quiet Friday morning, with an almost empty restaurant, our food still took way longer than expected unfortunately. The music was very random with lots of swearing and almost techno and loud. Unpleasant for a relaxing brunch. We both got a smoothie which neither of us enjoyed. Our poached eggs were cooked perfectly but as an overall experience it was very average. We moved on to vudu for a coffee and cake to satisfy our very unsatisfied stomachs.

We took our 14 yr old and friends here for a birthday dinner, the menu was varied with something to suit everyone. The food was excellent and I was pleasantly surprised at how well priced it was for a group. They even organised a birthday cake with only 24 hrs notice. As a local we do come here often for coffee or lunch and the staff are always friendly and food always really good. Highly recommended.

Clearly a popular cafe with a good location and choice of food. Overwhelmed with patrons with lengthy queues at the only register where to order and pay. This seems to be significant bottleneck, especially with customers who have not decided on their choice of food before getting to the point to order and pay. Food choices great and coffee was impressive. Downside(s) standing in a slow moving order queue, no table service, being told after placing order and paying the wait on food was 30 minutes although apologised for not saying sooner. Coffee order arrived 20 minutes before food. Food arrived 50 minutes after ordering. Long queue to order another coffee but Yonder staff provided a complimentary round of coffee for table when food arrived. That salvaged a 3 star rating to a 4 star rating. Food excellent Coffee great Service good Order and pay process bad. Delay in food 50 minutes, bad. Visiting with USA suppliers.

The food here was outstanding. It caters for Vegan with the most scrumptious dishes. But also caters for meat eaters too, the karage chicken was divine. Of the four evening meals we had in Queenstown this was the best and also reasonably priced. I will definitely be back again and again!

Beautiful venue. Had breakfast here with hubby the waitress seated us straight away and took our drinks order later came back and took our food order. Our food came out cold and slightly burnt. Mushrooms on the side had no flavor all in all food was average. But the atmosphere was lively & lovely. We never received our 2 drinks we ordered in the beginning but was charged for it anyways, when we told the waitress we didn’t receive it she was apologetic and very lovely.
