My friends & I happened to have lunch at this place! Food wasn't too bad but they made us wait for 10 minutes before taking our orders, although it was a quiet, holiday afternoon!!! Don't bother going there, if you are not a local!

Easy going which fits the kiwi style perfectly. Tips: Cheese pots and breads is good as a starter when you are starving. We enjoyed the house smoked salmon salad,... More

Waxy's is a good place to meet up with friends to eat and maybe enjoy a drink. The lunch specials offer excellent value for money. Waxy's presents a traditional, nostalgic atmosphere steeped in local and Irish history with honest to goodness home-style meals that fill you up on a cold day.

I had the lamb after looking at a few other choices. Very good - nice atmosphere and good beers. A nice, reasonably priced place for a meal.

Not a nice place to have a romantic night out that’s for sure and don’t expect good food or service either.
