great location in the centre of the village and just a short stroll from the beach this is well worth a visit. Lots of good cafes but this is my favourite.

Popped in today to grab a coffee and slice. Fantastic service, very friendly. Coffee was perfect and the selection of slices was ample. Highly recommend

Popped in for a pre movie coffee and a bite to eat. Haven't seen such disinterested staff for a long time and was fascinated by the "what size cup do you want?" game played by the cashier........she would lean over to feel the row of cups in front of the customer, almost like she was reading braille. No smile, no... More

We stopped off to have morning tea while sightseeing the Sumner area. What a pleasant surprise, nestled on the corner such a wonderful atmosphere and best of all the coffee was excellent. The food was superb and the staff were very accommodating and pleasant. I would definitely stop here again when in the area.

My husband, daughter and I popped into this quirky little coffee shop (just across the road from our accommodation) as we left Sumner en route to Christchurch airport and enjoyed the best coffees of our 3,000+ mile trip around South Island! Honestly! What a shame we had not sussed it out at the start of our travels! Definitely a must... More

A great cup of coffee (with soy milk) served by friendly people. It was nice to sit and watch the people & cars go by. Will be back for a vegan slice with coffee tomorrow!

Afternoon spent on Sumner Beach, watching and listening to the waves. A few coffee places to choose from. Word of mouth - recommends this one. Without fail word of mouth was right. Great facilities. Sitting inside or outside. Bar window seating with the windows open. Great stools with the coffee culture logo stamped on them. Loved the decor. What was... More

Conveniently located, right in the middle of Sumner village, Coffee Culture is popular with the locals and visitors. It's situated right next to the Hollywood Cinema, which adds to its value. Another Coffee Culture is situated in London St, Lyttelton, through the tunnel from Sumner. The coffee in Lyttelton is excellent too, and the service is wonderful. Either destination is... More
