Wanting a quick bite we checked out the menu and thought it looked okay. The all day breakfast was a good option so hotcakes with fried banana, bacon and maple syrup was a great tasty choice. The pumpkin and Kumara soup with ciabatta toast was delicious. As expected a great coffee to wash it down.

This is a perfectly nice, unremarkable inner city cafe. It's nicely outfitted with comfortable and welcoming seating, including easy chairs and coffee tables. It's on the strret end of the small arcade which leads through to the charming quadrangle in the BNZ Centre. NIce hot coffee and tea. Cabinet food looked good. Good for a quick meeting place with friends while shopping or in the middle of a working day. Easy, no fuss. Carry on.

Our large group enjoyed morning tea at this busy cafe in the Mall.
It was good to have a separate area and we appreciated their efficient service. The staff strived to please and ensured we had received all our orders. The coffees were good and I enjoyed the nice chessey scone.

This place not only serves the worst coffee I've ever tasted but they always get order wrong as well.
The barista and the cashier need more training.
You're better off getting much better coffee from coffee shops around the area.

Delicious breakfast, excellent service from the ladies in charge, and the food came out all fast. Our teens loved their smoothies and one even said it was one of the best berry smoothie she has tried. The portions are also right and beautifully served. Top marks.

Tucked in behind the sunny windows on a cold winters morning enjoyed a lovely breakfast. Eggs Benedict Salmon for me and the mushroom stack for my wife. Lovely food and extra friendly staff

Ordered bacon, eggs and toast with extra toast and grilled tomato on the side, and coffee. Reasonably priced and arrived in good time. Good value, fast service even though was busy. Been here before, the order is consistent every time.

Great food at a reasonable price, portion size good and the service was 1st class.
Coffee was also good. Will definitely stop buy for another Breakfast when next in Christchurch

The cafe is conveniently located across from the botanical gardens and the old Canterbury College. Great sandwiches and salads, coffee and desserts.

Don’t try the coffee cake here. It’s just doughy stodge with a few traces of grated carrot in it - a muffin (in a muffin case) made with prepared mix I suspect.

We dropped in last week to get some coffees for a business meeting.
Service and coffees were ok.
Was slow getting the coffees which was unusual since it looked relatively quiet.
Overall the lasting impression wasn't great.

Coffee is average. Food, below average. And it’s attached to a shopping mall. I can’t see any reason to frequent there, I’m afraid.

Avoid this place at all costs. Ordered the eggs Benedict with bacon (which was correctly put in by the person on the till as we had a receipt so not a mistake at this end). What showed up at the table was eggs Benedict with salmon. Unfortunately we did not have time to wait for them to fix their mistake so I reluctantly said this is not what I ordered but I will have it anyway. The waiter replied and said he “would look into it”. He never came back to the table. The eggs were so overcooked I could literally pick the yolks up on the end of my fork. The meal itself was also quite cold and it just had a bunch of spinach leaves chucked on the side of the plate. I was dining under a booking made from first table in which you can leave a review for the place. I decided the appropriate thing to do was send a private review rather than a public one. However, after waiting well over a week for a response I have given up and decided to post this publicly. Don’t waste your time or money on this place. And if you do, wear a jacket, this place is freezing. Won’t be returning.
