Excellent food, but very small portions (not very good value). Not sure if our server was new, but my main takeaway from the experience was the terrible service. My main came when my friends starters arrived, and asking for a slice of lemon for my...More

Great service. Creamy seafood chowder and a tasty local platter accompanied by glass of wonderful Reisling. All this in a lovely location provided for a memorable lunch on a cool afternoon. A nice extra would have been to have the fireplaces on.

Bon bons were quite good, although some became chewy when they were in the microwave too long. Chowder was a major disappointment!!! It’s was a nice blonde sauce, with a small amount of seafood hidden at the bottom. It lacked that seafood taste that should...More

We were looking for a light lunch option and were very happy with the 'signature' seafood chowder soup offering, combined with excellent Allan Scott sauvignon blanc and chardonnay wines. We were blessed with sunny conditions which assisted us enjoying the alfresco environment, and delivering a...More

Four of us visited for lunch without a reservation. My intial impression was awful when I was told by one of the wine waiters that lunch enquiries were "not my job". After a wait we were shown to a table in a cool and unheated outdoor...More

Hi Richard. I'm sorry we did not meet your expectations for lunch. I too enjoy the Timgad fish, but I am particularly disappointed our signature chowder was not up to scratch. I do hope you advised the wait staff at the time. However, I can...More

I'm a local and I can't tell you why, but it just never occurs to me to go to Allan Scott for lunch. Maybe I think it'll be filled with tourists or something, I don't know. Anyway, today my husband and I had the most...More

Description
Named after the original walnut trees that lined the entrance to the winery, lunch at our Twelve Trees Restaurant is a must for visitors, and locals alike. The great food and relaxing atmosphere, whether in the sheltered courtyard, or inside by the fire, provide a warm welcome. Menus change seasonally to reflect Head Chef, Matt Gibson's simple food philosophy "fresh & local". However a couple of signature dishes, including the Seafood Chowder, which has become a local favourite, remain on the menu year round. Come in and try it with the delicious Wallops Chardonnay!
