Delicious food, attentive service. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal. Contrary to the message on Trip Advisor, this restaurant is not closed- it is well and truly open for business!

My husband and I had a lovely Sunday evening meal at Savvy in Blenheim. Savvy is part of the Scenic Hotel . We enjoyed a glass is local Sauvignon Blanc in the bar. Lovely ambience and the wine list very extensive and interesting. The young...lady on the bar( Marianne?) was extremely knowledgeable and helpful in helping us to choose something off the wine list that was a bit different ( and local) The restaurant was surprisingly good. I am usually a bit circumspect about hotel kitchens but Savvy did not disappoint! I had the vegetable , halloumi and quinoa salad which was delicately seasoned with a vinaigrette and a smattering of toasted pine nuts. Hubby had lentil fritters- generous sized serving with a roasted capsicum aaoli . Simple fare but very light, tasty and delicious. We washed this down with a bottle of local Pinot Noir. ( can’t recall which one but it was superb!) Service from our waitstaff member whose name started with M with outstanding. Professional, pleasant and obviously well - trained. It was lovely to see a couple who came in late after a delayed ferry crossing were warmly welcomed and were able to order a meal despite the kitchen almost closing. Overall a lovely evening with wonderful food. Highly recommended.More

A very disappointing Christmas dinner. The menu was uninspiring, bland and not a traditional meal, in fact it was just basic a la carte fare, l would have preferred to pay more and had an authentic meal. . , ,More

Hello - and apologies that we did not meet your expectations. Our chef did try to put a "kiwi" spin on the meal while still incorporating some Christmas favourites. It was generally really well received with other guests, but we clearly missed the mark with...More

We decided to try the restaurant after reading plenty of good reviews. We were glad that we did have dinner there. The restaurant was full, but the service was still superb. The only downside was we had to wait a bit for our meals after...the orders were taken. However, our drinks came quickly and we were offered bread rolls while we waited. We enjoyed our meals as the food was fresh, nicely prepared especially the Beef Wellington.More

Mondrians Restaurant and Bar are located in the Scenic Hotel Marlborough. We were staying in the hotel and had dinner and breakfast the following morning - both were very good. We had a pre-dinner drink in the bar, which was comfortable and the staff friendly,...chatty, efficient and helpful. The restaurant (which we had pre-booked) was light and airy, the staff efficient, helpful and again chatty. There were a steady stream of locals eating in the restaurant, which normally says a lot about an establishment. The menu was pretty extensive and well balanced, the wine list the same. The buffet continental breakfast was good; hot food was also available. There was plenty of choice of cereals, fresh and tinned fruit, yoghurt, cold meats and cheese and croissant, Danish pastries etc.More

Lovely open dining room with nice ambience in the centre of town, A good variety of fresh local produce on the menu. Service is excellent and nice wines to complement the meal. Restaurant open every day which is helpful as others are not.

Once again, a Scenic hotel has proven to be reliably very good, including a surprisingly good restaurant. We wanted a quiet evening meal with tasty food, and Mondrians delivered what we wanted.

in this restaurant, we had the best dinner during our three weeks visit in NZ. I got here my best life time experience of a lamb dish. They were not just dishes excellent but serving as well. During our dinner we had three waiters, all...of them very sensitive and polite. Mains - the lamb rack and chicken breasts - were exceptional good. Starters - the soup of the day and arancini balls - very good and excellent (arancini). Desserts were also excellent. The atmosphere and facilities are very good but not excellent. The serving and dishes made our exceptional evening.More
