Fabulous service, great atmosphere and superb wine selection. The food was exquisite. The rum baba to finish and share just made the whole meal perfect. Thank you management and staff

We arrived to unwelcoming staff. We then waited to be served a drink and the would loved to have had food as well. We waited 20mins and know one came to our table in the whole time we where there. We left very disappointed

If you've seen all the episodes of Fawlty Towers, you could pop along to Raupo for a new experience. Soup of the day is seafood chowder. OK, some of us ordered that. Eventually the starters were delivered, with plates of leek and potato soup. That's...not what we ordered. Sorry, the waitress made a mistake telling you that soup of the day was seafood chowder. Good grief; why bring us a different dish, without coming back to say things would be different? But it got more weird. When we said we didn't want leek and potato, the waiter said: OK, we'll get you some seafood chowder. And he did. Things then degenerated into farce. Two people ordered pork as a main. When all the mains arrived, they were served steak. Sorry, we're out of pork. But I don't want steak. OK, then we'll bring you some pork. And they did, for one diner at least. If something's not on the menu, but the order is taken, you tell the diner as soon as the order gets to the kitchen. You don't serve the guest something else without warning. But to then be able to magic up the dish that was ordered, but ostensibly not available, is weird. To do it twice is doubly weird. The maitre d' had the bad grace to blame it all on the poor waitress. Shades of Basil Fawlty. The modest discount, which took a lot of arguing to achieve, didn't compensate for a disappointing evening. Never again, I'm afraid.More

I booked a table for a family celebration, the food was amazing, but their seemed to be confusion over who exactly was meant to be serving our table, we were seated by the Maitre D and he gave us menus, the girl took our drink...orders and then the Maitre D delivered our drinks, a while later the girl came back to try take our food orders but then the Maitre D came along and tried taking our order as well, then just to add to the confusion the girl came and replaced our cutlery while the Maitre D came along and tried doing the same thing, the service seems unorganized, definitely not the fine dining experience we were expecting, it looked as tho the Maitre D was trying to put the girl back in her place everytime she tried to do anything but clear tablesMore

This place was popular on the evening we went. The venue and service were good but the food was poor, and expensive

Would have liked a flat plate for my eggs bene, however no big drama. Eggs were over cooked, however rectified immediately. Food was fine and reasonably priced. Big bonus- dogs allowed outside nice setting

The reviews suggested good food however we where very disappointed with our Fish sandwiches/burger.the fish was very overcooked and dry, the buns hard and inedible and there was only a very tiny bit of a very bland sauce on the bread. No hint of the...Mexican flavours the menu noted. When we mentioned our disappointment to our waiter and asked for more sauce . He vanished and a woman returned with more sauce and no comment. No apologies, no one asked how our food was when we paid and in fact the woman who bought our sauce avoided eye contact tact. We were polite at all times but certainly won’t recommend despite the lovely setting.More
