Tasting room is one of my Welly favs. But it's gone a bit studenty and will need to think about its overall image and staff details to retain its position as a top crossover food spot and bar. At the moment it feels more like a pub with food tacked on. The popular (but raucous) outside area tends to dominate... More

I love the beef Wellington. Can't go past it. So I had it. With a Central Otago Pinot Noir. Sublime. If I was being fussy I'd say the tables need to be cleaned better. I was here for the food. Come and try it. Exquisite!

We had a good lunch with fish and chips and nice IPA. The weather was sunny but very windy, so it was att perfect place for lunch. The service was good and the beer was wonderful.

I had dinner at the Tasting Rooms yesterday. We had the $10 vouchers for the burger from the advent calendar promotion. We ordered drinks the burgers and a bowl of chips. I paid before we ate and it cost much more than I thought it would be. Our burgers came out about 25 mins later but we had to ask... More

Under the theatre and in the heart of Courtney place this is a vibrant spot to enjoy some hearty fare. The beef Wellington is more than just an appropriate dish to have in the capital it is well worth the 25 minute wait for them to cook from scratch....its mouth watering and perfect.

We ended up going at this place for 3 nights in a row just for drinking. The beers were great and staff are very friendly. It's a nice place to go out with friends for a couple of drinks. Highly recommended.

Extremely good value and decidedly tasty. They call it Fish Friday and for just $20 provided us with 3large fillets of terakihi, handcut chips, salad plus a most generous pour of wine ... should add that unlike the green man (be warned) they don't charge extra for aoli sauce. Most impressed

Scouring down town Wellington on a Sunday night, came across this place, decided to give it a go. Not disappointed in the end, service was great, fantastic martini cocktail to start with and then a good selection of wine by the glass , food was more than adequate.

Thank Nellymrph
