Been going to Long Bar for years and the food is consistently good. Good for lunch as you can do lunch in an hour and very reasonable. You can guarantee a quick dinner if needed. Meals may not come out at the same time for people yet quality of food is great (large portions) and price reasonable. Probably eat here... More

The food was bland and the service was bad! Rude servers and we received our main before our starters. Our food was cold and not brought out at the same time! Overall I don't recommend this place!!!

I recommend coming here for their lunch time deals, unfortunately they hike the price up in the evening else I'd come here for dinner too. For $13-$14 you get a large portion of Malaysian food.. I recommend the chicken Nasi Goreng. Can be very busy and rowdy between 12 and 1pm so head down earlier or later and book a... More

I keep returning to the Long Bar because the food is good, value for money and the service is prompt. It may not be the flashest place in Wellington, but it's clean, friendly and central. It's generally not over busy. It is good for a quick and generous meal after a late afternoon or evening meeting before you head home.... More

Was in Wellington for the week on business caught up with a friend for dinner she recommended this place. I got entree of squid which was nice followed by a chicken dish. Meal size was huge so if you're not a big eater don't order an entree and main. Meals were nice, service was fine. My only complaint was there... More

I always come to the long bar for lunch when I am visiting Wellington. I first discovered it 11 years ago and I always get laksa and sides of spring rolls and roti and peanut sauce. It's always really good. Service is prompt and the meal arrives very quickly. I have been there for dinner on occasions with my vegetarian... More

Met up with a group of four friends for lunch. Starters came out very quickly but then we waited for a long time for our mains. Otherwise a great catch up with good company and good food.

A long time favourite where I know what I am getting with consistently good food, tasty, fresh and well priced. Basic service and a small wine list this place does everything it is supposed to do without the frills. Love it
