The Rasa is a busy and enjoyable little Malaysian restaurant in upper Cuba Street Wellington, that had satisfied on each occasion I have visited [3-4 now]. We visited Rasa on several occasions during our trip to Wellington. We had Chicken as well as vegetarian dosai and also a take out of Chicken and lamb biryani. Really enjoyed all the meals it was so good. Friendly staff also. Shall be back later...in the year.More
We walked the length of Cuba Street and decided on Rasa because of the Trip Adviser award in the window. We were not disappointed. Wife had the Ayam Panggang chicken with peanut sauce and I had the Kari Ikan Campur a seafood dish. I'm allergic...to prawns and shrimps so asked about swapping these out and cross contamination etc. He was very accommodating adding additional fish and calamari. We ordered a plate of steamed vegetables and when they arrived (maybe slightly late) they were hot and just what we needed. All in all great food good service.More
Beef rendang, mee goreng, chicken dosai and chicken korma were all amazing, and the kids loved the mango lassi and the table service was great even though they were really busy! A must do in Wellington!
Decent food but I could taste the commercialness in the Indian food which they were serving. The Foh staff name Raul(not sure about the spelling) was a cool guy. Great attitude and customer service. I would still recommend it if you are into decent byo...to meet friend, fine food and handsome staff 😜More
They pack a lot of tables into this small area but the courteous staff happily navigate it to serve you well. Terrific food and pretty good value too.
Had a really nice meal here. Our mains were great (Mee goreng and Lamb curry) though the mixed starter was a tad disappointing. I thoroughly recommend the garlic roti though - absolutely delicious. Be wary though - it can get incredibly busy and cramped in...here (even on a Thursday night which is when we went) and then it also got very hot and humid in there as well with that many people in a small space. It wasn't quite as cheap as many of the other reviews here make it out to be, but it was still good value for money.More
We haven’t visited Rasa since moving away almost 7 years ago. Rasa was our go to once a week. Great atmosphere, byo wine and brilliant food. Our first visit back tonight has not disappointed! The vegetarian Laksa and the Biryani are seriously the best we’ve...ever had. The spice is spot on and the flavours AMAZING! Love this place! It’s great value, great food, great staff and a bloody brilliant iconic Wellington restaurant. 100% recommend!!!More
