Go for murtabak or its rotis. They sre freshly made. Love its customer service. Popular with the parliamentary crowd.

This used to be one of my favourites but must have changed hands and went today and the service was shocking (not the usual lovely lady at the counter) and the food - had chicken beehive special - was not up to the previous standard of care and quality in preparation. Still edible and okay - just not what it... More

The food is of acceptable standard for Malaysian visitors. The lady owner seems a bit loud and abrupt but the husband seems very friendly and welcoming. Brought our family of 16 recently and having lived in NZ since the 80's, we missed a good Malay breakfast and since this is my third trip to this cafe, I thought why not.... More

The Beehive provides the standard range of dishes, chicken & lamb curries, nasi goreng and rending are all available. The Beehive is not licenced so one can't have a soothing lager along with makan. Service is relatively swift and one gets a meal for around $15 that keeps the hunger at bay. having said that the food is not spectacular,... More

I visited this cafe for the first time at lunch today. I was really shocked by the service from the woman at the til. Mega unfriendly, snatched money off me, got annoyed at me when I didn't specify which 'special' I wanted. She then proceeded to berate another staff member loudly. As a customer, I want to be greeted with... More

Basic decor but great food and really friendly owners. Relatively cheap lunch or dinner. I've bought the boys here for probably the last decade. Good place for family meal.

Went here last week to grab a roti chanai. I used to come here all the time but the food has gone down a few notches...not to mention the woman on the til who didn't smile. The roti was ok, a bit dense. It came with a tiny bit of curry sauce and a piece of chicken for $9.

Appearances can be deceiving. It doesn't look much but it has a great lunch menu with very reasonable priced food. Quick service. It's a hidden gem. Great dishes of the day.

This is a Malaysian cafe, one block up from Parliament so one of the best places to go if you need to get lunch or dinner when you have business at that end of town. The food tastes great. The service is very attentive. During the day you order at the counter and at night they will bring you a... More

The Beehive Cafe has standard Malaysian food, well made and good value. Although the interior has an uninspiring ambiance, it is popular with local office workers because of the food. As well as Malaysian food, it does have western food as well. If you're in the vicinity of Parliament, this could be a good choice for lunch. It has both... More
