Situated on floor 6 of the Travelodge this is a corporate restaurant. Staff were pleasant enough. Menu a bit limited but appappeared good value on par with other eateries close by. My Pizza was delicious.

We are here on one occasion, and although the meal was delicious, it was certainly over priced for the amount of food. We were seated in a corner and had to get up and find a waitress every time we wanted something. Take your money with you.

Great place to stay and eat. Clean, quiet, friendly helpful staff. Proximity to CBB is first class, walking distance to Museum, Wharf, Harbour, food outlets, shops, restaurants, War Memorial.

The menu is limited but offers something for everone and for very reasonable prices. A two course dinner can be enjoyed for as little as 30 NZ$. The cook of this restaurant knows what he's doing. The wontons in broth we had were excellent as were the shredded lamb croquettes. The meatlovers pizza did not disappoint and when it proved... More

We had breakfast in the restaurant. Because we were in a hurry, we chose a continental breakfast: cereals, bread and fruit. Not too much choice. To ask $19 is much too much. A full breakfast is $24.

We went down to the restuarant and had drinks and an early evening dinner and enjoyed it throroughly. We had the cheesy wedges and cheesy garlic bread followed by dessert. The dessert was a delicious piece of apple crumble pie with kapiti vanilla ice cream and vanilla creme anglaise custard and it was savoury from the first bite.

We were hungry after long day, had my standard burger and it was real chicken fillet, (a wee bit dry) but the extras were tasty, chips perfect. My colleague had nasi Goreng and it was presented beautifully.

The Steps restaurant at the Travelodge in Wellington is on the 6th floor and has a pleasant ambience for just having a wine or a complete dining experience - the evening I was there it was fairly quiet and only a few tables occupied but the meal was of a high quality. I had 3 courses and wine and all... More

Good but limited menu. Staff, seemingly primed to maximise spend, but not particularly welcoming. Could not complain about the food, but found the restaurant to be rather, "souls," and would only use again if not wishing to "go out," and find alternative choices.

The meal was lovely and reasonably quick even though they were very busy as the military tattoo was on. tTe staff were very helpful cheerful and also had a good sense of humour.

Thank Lyn M
