This place has wonderful art on the walls and their lunch service is fresh, tasty and bustling. Also were very happy to accomodate an energetic toddler!

Finally, an authentic NZ lamb dish, cooked to perfection, isn't it pleasurable when something so simple connects with the fresh red kumara, hazelnuts, carrots and oh yeah, the garlic , nott o mention the watercress salad. This is the kind of food anyone could simply eat at any occasion, thank you to the chef Oh, let's not forget, finally, one of... More

This has long been one of my favourite lunch places so I was looking forward to going back after some time away from Wellington. It was still great. The roast pork bun = yum. The service was wonderful - we had two babies with us so the extra attention and getting the food out fast was appreciated.

Popped in to pick up a couple of take out coffee as had heard this cafe had good coffee. Barista, whilst put out by having to do job and not chat to work mates, made 2 flat whites and called one a cappuccino. It certainly wasn't. Then through an amazing feat of telepathy assumed it needed chocolate sprinkled all over... More

Hi Kylie, It's disappointing to read these comments as this particular staff member has been working with us for over three years, is very well liked among our regular customers and consistently works to a very high standard. We know her well enough to stand by her professionalism in the trickiest of situations. I do hope our staff will always... More

Great vegetarian options, always something new on the menu, and the food is always amazing! As well as great food they have great gluten free, low fodmap, and vegan options so it's a great place to bring friends, clients and colleagues.

Hidden away through a narrow doorway and up a flight of stairs, Ti Kouka provided a great brunch for a group of six hungry women. I had a the special of chorizo scrammy eggs which was really tasty. I had plate envy for a pork and potato dish a few on our table had, but was very happy with my... More

We had the most delightful brunch at Ti Kouka's today. We were greeted by such a personable young tall dark gentleman and made to feel so welcome. I had the potato rosti which was divine and hubby had the avocado on toast. Our meals were tasty and beautifully cooked and our coffee was smooth and delicious. We will definitely be... More

This restaurant was recommended by a close friend. Signage stood out so couldn't miss the entrance. Passageway and stairs could put you off, but good things are to come. Open the door and surprise the bar and servery with friendly staff waiting. Make your way to the front of the restaurant overlooking Willis Street. Just a great experience....staff ......food.....and drinks... More

I have been waiting for this. All new menu. More focus on organic locally sourced foods with a twist. And this weekend I tried the fish on quinwah with greens and nettle broth. Delicious. Dave FitzJohn the head chef has taken this resturant to the next level.

Had heard good things about the cafe, with the rugby on that weekend we had about a 30-40min wait. Staff were very good at keeping us informed and attentive to our questions. The burger special for $30 was fantastic, the waiter was kind enough to replace the regional beverage with a coffee. The burger was compromised of Organic crispy fried... More

Description
Ti Kouka cafe was started by brothers Jesse Simpson and Shepherd Elliott in November 2010. Jesse runs the front of house and makes the beautiful coffees and Shepherd runs the kitchen and makes the delicious food. We use local, sustainable and organic produce when ever possible. We use Flight's beautiful direct trade and organic coffee and Zorganic's milk and other dairy products. We also offer free range and organic eggs, chicken and juices. We believe that using the best ingredients gives our food and drinks an edge that you can taste. We also believe we have a responsibility to do what we can to make sure we can continue to have the standard of produce we enjoy now. We compost all our scraps, recycle everything we can and will continue to improve as we go. In November of 2013 we opened Leeds St Bakery to supply TK and many others around wellington with Beautiful organic artisan breads.
