Go early as they don't take bookings for small groups. The shared platters are cooked from scratch so there is a bit of a wait but well worth it and the staff warned us of the delay when ordering. They suggested we start with some tapas while we waited for our platter which we did and they were amazing. The... More

This was our third time dining here. The meat dishes are always very good here. Steaks perfectly cooked with great flavour.

Had a really good meal here the other day with friends. Delicious meat, drinks were great too (pisco sour) and churros are a must have. But side dishes are a little pricey for what you get.

We came to El Matador as we had read reviews recommending this restaurant as an excellent choice for steak. We arrived at 8:40pm took a seat at the bar and were seated at 8:50pm ordered out drinks and my partner an I both ordered steak, we were told as everything was cooked from scratch our meals would take time, that's... Had dinner with a colleague. We ordered tapas first and a meat platter for the main. I clearly stated that we wanted the tapas as entree and the main after. A waiter told us that there was an error with the order and that they prepared the main but not the tapas. I insisted to get the tapas first. I... More

Pig like you have seldom seen before. Cooked slowly above an open flame they get points for getting out of the kitchen and on to the street!

I took a couple of colleagues here for dinner this week and once again El matador delivered . We were seated and ordered drinks and then got talking and forgot to view the menu .. 3 times! Staff were patient and assisted us with ordering. Big flavours and fresh deliciousness ensued. The feel is funky retro, the staff are pleasant... More

Really nice Tapas meal with some excellent tasty dishes and a good wine list. Very busy place which says a lot and we were very happy with what we had. Would recommend the beetroot and the pork belly - but all the dishes we had were very good. Might be worth booking to make sure you get a table!

Thank Donald M
