Wandered into the Bangalore Polo Club with a couple of colleagues for dinner on a recent rainy night in Wellington. Menu looked interesting and we were happy to get out of the cold and wet. Not very busy place on a Wednesday evening so we...More

We were seated right beside the fire, it was so warm! The waiters were so friendly & recommended the Malaysian Fried Chicken "KFC on crack" was the term used. We ordered a tasting plate and our server arranged an extra venison rib. The food was...More

Have eaten at the BPC on numerous occasions where the food was average, the peanuts cluttered the floor and fed the local pigeons - yuk! But the location and atmosphere was always electric. Visited for dinner on Wednesday evening - what a surprise - no...More

We only went there for drinks on this occasion. Always a great location to meet friends and like the list if cocktails there. The location and the ambience is always great!

The place looks like a Ralph Lauren shop that hasn't been updated + peanut shells on the floor + random pigeons. Ew, right? Actually, the place is very comfortable and the staff is wonderful. We only stayed for drinks and they were excellent. Great selection...More

We booked here on first table. We ordered squid rings, pull apart bread and a flat bread special - all were delicious. For mains we had fish n chips and steaks - great meal. I liked the decor etc, it was interesting. The pigeons are...More

We struggled to find anywhere nice to eat in Wellington so this rather eccentric place sufficed. The pigeons roaming around and flying overhead were fairly disgusting. The waitress managed to spill my glass of wine all over me. Apart from that, the toilets were nicely...More

Interesting decor, nut shells all over the floor that the doves were snacking on. Good vibe, music was good. Tuesday night was quite after work which made for a nice place to get to know colleges

Having some reservations about dining here due to friends speaking ill of it, we finally did at the end of November. I don't know what they were on about. We were quickly seated in front of the fire. It was pouring with rain outside so...More

Just a question as to why bother going out to eat if nothing is up to your expectations. You saw the peanuts and pidgeons when you walked in so if you did not like them why did you not leave. As for your other reviews you have not a kind word to say of anyone so do the Restaurants a favour and stay home.

I'd be surprised if it wasn't trading, any place in nz has to be better than twizel. If there was so many other better places to go why didn't you have the balls to name them. Picking service was slow as you had your Swandri on

Description
Welcome to the Bangalore Polo Club, home of the infamous Bangalore Badgers and the most unique hospitality and dining experience this side of the equator. Established in Bangalore in 1859, The Bangalore Polo Club is proud to celebrate 150 years of triumphant polo and excellence in hospitality by opening the first affiliate clubrooms on foreign soil. Proudly open to all, the BPC (as the locals call it), is a club steeped in a rich tradition of excellence and triumph along with scandal and adversity. Grown from a culture of superiority set by the four founding members; The Count, Brigadier Grimshaw, The Maharaja and Raja Singh. The clubrooms are opulent, the menu diverse, the experience unique and the service outstanding. We insist that every occasion is celebrated in style and look forward to being of service to you for another 150 years.
