If you want quality cakes or a nice high to celebrate a special occasion go somewhere else. The food was dry, bland and made with little skill or care. On the upside, it's nice and quiet so good for having a chat with a friend.

This place is not offering high tea at all. Recently visited with family who have dietary requirements. Cupcakes were substituted for tamarillos. I was disgusted. I will never be returning. This place should change their name and service entirely because we did not receive high...tea at all!More

I was utterly disappointed to hold a special occasion here not knowing the cafe was under new ownership and was nothing like it once was. The tea menus were grubby, the table layout had no real thought to it, the food was average and over...priced and the decor was clumsy. They should no longer call themselves Martha's Pantry and should not claim to offer a top high tea experience in Wellington.More

I attended a function at Martha’s on Saturday which was very pleasant. The service was good and the table was nicely set out for afternoon tea. I was a little disappointed with the sandwiches which were too big. Otherwise a very lovely afternoon tea.

We were really looking forward to this and expected a busy place with interactive staff and a real tea party feel. Turned out we were the only ones there, a nice selection and very helpful and prompt staff - but just not what we expected....We saw the hat supply and all put one on and had fun all the same. The coffee was excellent and everyone enjoyed their orders.More

Quite pricey for what you get. Small and dainty treats but nothing really stood out, maybe the lemon curd? Nice little set up, but don't think I'll be going back

I was extremely excited to head to Martha's Pantry for High Tea after hearing rave reviews from multiple people. What I walked into was a tired establishment which could really do with a pick me up. Atmosphere was okay, but nothing special. The food was...okay, but once again, nothing special. I'm not quite sure how they justify the cost of high tea.More

We booked in advance as there were seven of us celebrating a birthday. Quite a small place so worth booking. Lovely quirky coffee shop. Great selection of tea and other drinks for high tea. The food was really delicious and there was plenty of it....Lovely friendly service and plenty of time to enjoy the food without being rushed. There is a small carpark on site or street parking nearby. Thanks Martha’s Pantry for making it a really special day!More
