What seemed like a noisy and typical bar at first actually managed to surprise with tasty food and wonderfully themed decor. The General Practitioner kept to its theme with all sorts of medical tools hung on the walls, creating a unique atmosphere with dimmed lights...More

I always find it hard to find a place to eat because of my celiac. We wanted something special because it was my birthday. We didn't want to walk all over town because it was raining. We came upon The General Practitioner in their historic...More

The General Practitioner is a Wellington landmark. It is the must visit pub in the centre of Wellington with a cosy old world charm all of its own. The drinks are well priced with a good selection and the food is superb. There is both...More

This restaurant was mainly a bar with good food. The fish and chips were very good. Service was very good, especially since we were on the third floor and the waitress carried the food for our group up 3 flights of stairs.

This is a very good bar with first class staff. The building is full of character and the three levels give you plenty of choices. They have a great selection of wines and beer while the food is pretty good as well.

I loved the place because they have nice decoration and kept the historical details from the building too. The beer was perfect and chips as well.

We always love getting a meal here. Downstairs is better for us. Quieter. Wait staff very accommodating. They even made us a bowl of mash even though it wasn't on the menu. Well done GP

Hi, I remembered seeing a few small screens around and a medium sized screen. Not sure about the large sized ones, sorry about it as we were only there for social dinner night out not watching the games. E-T
