Thank you Oak and Vine for a delectable High Tea.
Starting with the warm welcome by Restaurant Manager Krystal and the extra special mocktails and cocktails personalized with our names, no less, by Master Mixologist Daneshprasad were just amazing.
This was followed by the lip-smacking treats by Executive Chef Shweta who had a very difficult task of creating a menu to cater to our dietary requirements due to food allergies while still ensuring a high visual and taste appeal ... hats off to her for making it happen!
The staff was very attentive and checked in with us now and again to ensure we were having a great time. Icing on the cake were the personalized fairytale perfect menu cards presented to us which will be a sweet memory of the celebration.
The décor was just right ... it was a beautiful experience and we are already planning our next celebration.

Beef eye fillet cooked at medium rare was an excellent dish. King salmon entree was exquisite. however, the fishiness of the catch of the day (tarakihi) cannot be justified with the salty sauce that was paired. Burger was subpar too. Wished water was refilled more often though

We attended a 50th Birthday Party on Waitangi Weekend and loved the warm delicious food served with lovely selection of drinks and the staff service was excellent. They served us with a smile and were helpful, my mother got a special drink served as she didn’t want the chilled one, and the best part was after each course, the plates and cutlery was cleared discreetly and the table never seemed cluttered. That was in my view the best service ever ! As for food, the Egg Plant grilled with Feta Cheese and corn salad was to die for and all the deserts were a Amazing feast. Loved the Indian Menu selection of Mains and everything was delicious, well presented and quantity was ample, so there was plenty to go for seconds.
The evening was memorable as the Parking in the Site and lovely decorations plus the best event service from the staff was commendable. I love this venue and their food has always been one unique experience. Highly recommend if you want to have a memorable event.

We bought a groupon voucher and booked for valentines night. We arrived at 730 and was immediately told a 1/3 of the valentines menu had already sold out!! Why people had to book so you know how many people were coming! So we asked to order from the main menu. As we were seated the table next to us complained they had been waiting 35 minutes for their drink order to be taken. So after 15minutes we called a waitress and ensured we ordered. The food came and it was very tasty but our drinks didn’t. We had to go to the bar and ask. Staff cleared the entree but didn’t replace the cutlery so when mains arrived we had nothing to eat with and had to ask for it because they forgot, and we weren’t the only ones, lots of tables had the same issue. The table beside us had the entrees before us and when we were on our dessert they asked where their mains were, they had been forgotten. Then his was cold so had it sent back to be reheated. The maitre d did apologize for the service saying it was their first busy night since opening a few months ago but to be honest it wasn’t a huge restuarant and valentines night and pre booked surely you knew it would be busy. Sadly ruined our evening 😪

We ordered the Beef Fillet mains which cost $41. We both think it was severely overpriced. Had a 180 gm Angus beef, 1 small lonely baby carrot, 1 small beetroot, 1 small square potato, a tomato and a big bone with bone marrow (which is too fatty and oily) The bone was bigger than all the vegetables combined in the plate. Whoever made the menu to put a big bone with a small amount of vegetables and small amount of beef and charge a big bill should be ashamed! I feel cheated!

Good value Lunch at $10. Able to cater to my dietary needs. Waiter at lunch was wearing mask when serving us at lunch time. Let down by the dinner service as one person was serving foods with the mask around his neck and not on his face and nose.

As I have just answered your question in our Q&A page, at Oak & Vine Restaurant, we take it very serious to follow government guideline regarding Covid-protocol. I have had a conversation with the team on the night of 29 Jan. We had two guests with hearing impaired and guests can only read our attendant's lip movement . We had the consent to communicate with these guests' table without mask.
I am sorry to make you feel unsafe dining with us; however, at Oak & Vine restaurant, we are fully committed ourselves to follow COVID guidelines from checking vaccine pass, wearing masks and social distance.
I am looking forward to welcoming you back to Oak & Vine restaurant and ensure you feel safe and enjoy your experience.

We walked into the restaurant which was quite quiet and we were slightly sceptical but boy were we wrong! This place blew our minds. The food is as good as any 5 star restaurant and it came with the service to match
Erin and Danesh were at our tables checking on us constantly, making fantastic recommendations and the night could not have gone better. They were both attentive to our needs and we had one of the best table service in Wellington amongst the many restaurants we constantly visit. We got an unexpected amuse-bouche and were given a stunning “celebratory cocktail” which wasn’t even on the menu to start.
We were spoilt for choice and each course came out perfectly presented. Our hats off to the chef for a creative and stunning menu that was made full of flavour. The portions were generous - we wanted to but couldn’t manage desert.
This was their new spring menu and we will definitely be back! Cannot speak highly enough of these guys!

Disappointing dinner experience here two nights ago.
We four friends returned here again with high expectations due to our wonderful previous dinner here a couple of months ago.
The Pork and Scallops, and the King Salmon entrees were both nicely presented and enjoyable.
But the most disappointing part for me was my unenjoyable Scotch Fillet Steak mains.
Although beautifully presented as usual, the steak was so tough and virtually so difficult to cut into. It was full of stringy sinews!! Not only that, no steak knife was provided making the job harder. Fortunately after complaining about it, it was taken off the bill.
We were also disappointed by the poor service offered by the two young waiters who for the most part stood around there chatting with each other.
Apart from initially taking our orders, the young waiter never asked us if we wanted any drinks. So l drank cold water all evening. Can you believe it we had to go and get our glasses of cold water from the bar counter ourselves?
But Danesh was wonderful as ever. He was virtually rush off his feet all night as usual, bringing out our food as well as clearing our tables.
I wonder why the other two young waiters never gave him a hand? 🙄
Danesh will be definitely missed when he leaves soon for his new hotel position in Queenstown!! 😢😢
Lastly, we found the restaurant to be quite uncomfortably cold all evening, due mainly to the strong air conditioning.

Delicious food along with Excellent Service which summs up my experience at Oaks. We hosted our baby shower at one of their conference space we were not let down.
From initial appointment till the very end service was really amazing. Quick and prompt communication . Executive chef Shweta was really accommodating & flexible with menu planning and gave us really good varieties of food options to select for our event. In hospitality now a days you stand out with good service and good food which this place will not let you down. All our guests enjoyed the food and venue. Special thanks to Dhanesh Bar & Conference Manager who surprised us with delicious moctails. Executive Chef Shweta Ghate and his team for such a delicious spread.

We visited this amazing Restaurant on a fine Saturday, weather was so perfect to catch up with up with a friend and we decided to dine in. Oaks hotel is in a great location in town near the busiest place named Courtney place. This place is great and vibrant on weekends. When we visited this Restaurant we were nicely greeted and attended by two members on team. Mr.Danesh (Bar Manager) and a young beautiful colleague Ms. Kattia. She confirmed with me number of people and as it was just me and my friend, one of the tables near the window was given to us. So that was a plus. We were seated and then Ms. Kattia came along and she poured some sparkiling water and then asked if we were ready. They got a nice Crab Cake along with apple Jus which was so yummy....Then we had this most AMAZING creation invented by Bar Manager himself. It was named Celebration Cocktail and was truely nice experience to watch it being made as we could see loads of efforts being put in the same. It comes with a nice lil surprise which is actually done live on the table with the cocktail. Danesh then served us the drink and they bought us the Canopies as well which were delicious and went well along with the cocktail. Then we ordered some drinks and some dinner. We had the burger and a lamb rack which was delicious again..10 stars for the food. Danesh & Kattia came along to do Meal checks and asked if we were good and if we liked the meals. It felt so nice and welcoming and with the candles it made everything looks just so beautiful. We were so full with the main course, shame we could not get to try the desserts. Perfect restaurant for an ideal date with your Partner. I would highly recommend the nice and amazing restaurant as the Food, Staff and the Cocktail makes your evening just so perfect and i would definitely go back next time.

After having read reviews online, went to have lunch with my family, as we walked in the welcome wasn't great by the F&B manager, they were still looking for the menu and gave us the wrong menu initially, and did not lead us to a table, and there was no table set up done, so we went and sat near to the window table, she came around and ask if we were ready to order we were not, then she comes around and place napkins on the table, felt like dining in a cafe. she took forever to bring us glasses of water and did not ask whether we would like to order drinks. and the food - Thai curry was lacking flavor and the chicken was very dry on the chicken wrap but it was drained with sauce, The frozen fish lacked flavor as it was not seasoned. Even though we ordered from the 10$ menu, the food still needs to be of acceptable quality. I have read great things about your business. certainly this is not one of those days.

My partner and I were gifted a Groupon voucher for Christmas and it was probably one of the best gifts we received.
The food was beautiful. Melt-in-your-mouth pork belly, gorgeous complex tortellini, stunning lava cake. It has great food. We left feeling full and happy.
The staff, (particularly Hayden and Danesh) were attentive, speedy, and nice to speak to. We had lovely talks with the wait staff and for our food and drinks in a timely fashion.
My only complaint (and it's a tiny one) is that the lights are a bit bright. There was some lovely candlelight going on, and if the house lights were dimmed a wee bit, the atmosphere would be so much more romantic.

Service was attentive and thorough, we found the meals tasty and expertly plated. Very central location right off Courtenay Place, but with a luxurious atmosphere you wouldn't guess from the street. We couldn't choose between the cocktails, so ended up trying a few!

We visited this place for 50th birthday celebration of our family friend. The ambiance and decor was great. Choice of food Menu was detailed and super delicious. Starting with welcome drink, pizza and fries for kids, delicious corn cones with beat root hummus dip and guacamole, mini Halumi burgers and steamed hai buns. The main course had a great variety of salads and vegetarian curry variety which also included Indo-Chinese food variety. And last but not the least the desert rose falooda was mouthwatering. Special thanks to @Shweta for serving me the Masala tea topped with kesar. It was the best tea I have ever had 😋
Must say the staff was super thoughtful in putting together a brilliant menu and a great service. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a great venue with amazing menu.

This restaurant is part of the Oaks Wellington Hotel situated on floor one. The staff despite being quite young are friendly attentive and efficient without being pushy. The service is quick and the food is very tasty, we’ll prepared and presented.
