This place has very good views of rotorua city. It can be a little noisy during kunch or dinner times keeping in mind the number of people dining at the same time. There is quiet a lot of variety on thr Buffet.

My partner and I had lunch here and the selection was great. Food was very fresh, plenty of seafood, roast meat, lamb chops, desserts were great. I had some crepes and ice-cream then finished off with a coffee.

The experience and setting is amazing. Catching the gondola up to the restaurant is great but id recommend doing it just before dark so you can still see the landscape below (deers etc). The restaurant is gorgeous however the food is okay, seems to be...More

This was my third trip to Rotorua and not coincidentally also my third trip to Stratosfare (and each time I discover something new and delicious!) We absolutely love arriving an hour or so before sunset and watching day turn to night high above Lake Rotorua!...More

A ride up to the restaurant in the gondola (with a free ticket for next day also) followed by an amazing all you can eat buffet. Beautifully laid out, superb choice, delicious food, and such excellent and quietly attentive service.

We went here on a cloudy, rainy day but still, the view was amazing. We spent a little extra to have a table at the window and it was money well spent. Included in the price of a window seat was a drink (we had...More

So much to choose from, staff friendly and helpful, very good value for money. The dessert choices were incredible and all delicious. The only thing I found could be improved on was the coffee.

At the moment and to the best of my knowledge it was around $55 per adult and $35 per child and that includes the gondola ride. They also have annual passes which give you some pretty decent discounts on most of the things... More

It's a Buffet concept and you do have a few Indian dishes most of the time. But note that this is not an Indian Restaurant.

Where to look first, outwards, upwards or at the live chef displays... Set high on the side of Mount Ngongotaha, Stratosfare is the newest hot spot on Rotorua's burgeoning foodie scene. Luxurious Italian marble, granite, schist stonework and timber set the scene for a memorable experience where David Trubridge light frames your dinner setting for an evening that is sure to delight all your senses. Skilled chefs at their stations craft your cuisine, while cocktail connoisseurs mix and shake at the bar - and the sights don't stop - there's also an incredible 180 degree panorama of Lake Rotorua and the city to soak in amongst the atmosphere. Did we mention the menu? A range of cuisine is presented to tantalize your taste buds, from the tidal mussel tank, ensuring the freshest mussels you can find, to the flame rotisserie, aged prime cuts, Art of the Grill, seasonal salads and the freshly cooked-to-order crepes, we are sure you will leave wanting to come back again and again. Featuring a stunning array of freshly prepared buffet and cooked-to-order dishes highlighting locally sourced seafood, meat and produce, Stratosfare will take you on a gastronomic journey. Our commitment to quality begins long before our produce arrives at our pinnacle site. We work in partnership with local NZ farmers and growers who share our commitment to food excellence, from the pasture to the plate. Our award-winning Wagyu Angus cross fillet steak is just one example. Our prime beef comes from 16,000 hectares of coastal farms near Gisborne. The people of Mangatu Farms have been working their ancestral lands for more than 200 years. They can tell us exactly where the beef has come from, how it was reared and what it was fed. It's the little details like these that set our dining experience apart. We think you will be able to taste the difference too. Last dinner booking 8.30Pm.
