Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Girls weekend in Rotorua. We were looking for something a little more refined than Eat Street. Poco Tapas & Wine is just that. Beautiful food, a couple of favourites being the White Bean Tapa and the Scallops and the Cocktails were the best we had...experienced out in a long time. A must have is the Poco Club and the chocolatey coffee Expresso Martini. The atmosphere is great, upbeat background music and the staff were knowledgable and friendly. Certainly will visit in Rotorua again. Book a table and be impressed!More

We will return. A great surprise despite lack of street footprint. Worth the adventure! Maybe bit daunting for older folks, stairs are uncarpeted shld one stumble. And there a few of them!

What a great dinner! We got a referral from Volcanic Hills Winery, and then Poco served us what they wanted us to sample. Delicious dishes, every single one. Imaginative bartender as well!. The kind of small restaurant that you want to come and be welcomed...and enjoyMore

We are very glad that we followed other people's recommendations and booked a table at this excellent restaurant. The food was delicious. We ordered tuna, chicken, pork ribs, lentils, and bruschetta. And we loved the desserts.

My husband and I went here on our honeymoon, we were looking for somewhere a bit nicer in Rotorua and this place stood out from all the places on Eat Streat. The food was wonderful, especially the bruschetta and the pork ribs. Great selection of...wines and great service from the whole team.More

Excellent service and atmosphere. We had the chef’s selection and loved everything. Great selection of reasonably priced wine - many NZ based and many by the glass, so you can try a few out. Would be thrilled to come back.

To my surprise Of many great meals in NZ Poco was the tastiest! We had the brochette, eggplant, green beans and pork. All were excellent choices. It is a small place upstairs just off the tourist cattle car places on eat street. I don’t write...reviews but this one deserves it!More

Holy shoot!!! To say this place is fantastic is an understatement.... On Top of the incredible service from our two waitresses and absolute attentiveness to our needs. We had 7 meals and dessert, it was far too much food, but we just couldn't stop, every...meal was better than the last. The top 3 are absolutely the Tuna, the pork ribs and the chicken. My only critic is when I asked a waitress about a specific dish, they hadn't tried them unfortunately, but she did advise it was very popular with great feedback. I would hope this was maybe just an oversight but I'd definitely hope they'd sampled the menu.More

Recommended by a friend. Would not have found it otherwise. Looks nothing from the outside. Very lively place. Super food and service. Best in NZ so far on our travels. Cannot recommend this place more highly.
