We both really enjoyed our meals! Just as tasty at the Thai Hutt on marine parade. I can't complain about the food.. Yum yum! We had the yellow curry, roti and pad Thai. Was a bit disappointed about the corkage fee. Another favourite place of ours is free for corkage. Maybe adopt the $0 corkage and you would get our... More

We really enjoyed our meal. The food was excellent. The restaurant had a family feel to it and was pleasantly decorated.

The restaurant was virtually empty when we arrived. Wife had green curry with beef while I opted for ginger beef with vegetables. Being shellfish allergic, the dish was cooked in soy sauce but was tasty nevertheless. Nice glass of local merlot poured out of 200ml bottle at the bar before brought to the table. A little bit more beef in... More

Looking for Real Thai food? then this is the place. From the moment you walk through the door, you could be in Bangkok. The surroundings are straight from Thailand and food is both authentic and delicious. For the budget conscious, I would highly recommend this restaurant for tasty, nutritious reasonably priced food. Why not give it a try!! Ps licenced... More

Brought some freshly caught snapper that i had got on the weekend, they had no problem with making it into an amazing red curry, even made some for dine in and takeaway too, even charged me less without me having to ask, A+++++

We hadn't eaten here for some years but found the service and food was still very good. Although possibly there has been an ownership change? The battered sweet and sour pork- a concession to those who like the Chinese version of this dish over the stir fried Thai version was excellent. The Pad Ki Mao chicken dish was different to... From the outside it doesn't look like much but we were actually really surprised! The food was quite quick and well portioned while being absolutely delicious and so delicious. The service was friendly and the decor is pretty standard traditional Thai. Would definitely recommend.

Asked friends to recommend Thai restaurant for take away meal. We have a favourite very good Thai in Whangarei and we were most disappointed with the food and the price at Bangkok House. The beef dish my husband got was most satisfactoy, however the tofu in my meal tasted like it had been thrown in a second before serving and... More

Great welcome from the chef. Very clean restaurant with pleasant decor. Food was slow because it was freshly cooked. Very tasty and authentic food. Definately worth trying. Prices were fair for what we had.
