Came here on a Monday night - just in time for quiz night. What a laugh :) Enjoyed some great fish & chips AND came 3rd! Staff were friendly & welcoming, facilities were clean & prices were fair. Good choice of pub meals & we didn't have to wait too long either. Would recommend to all.

For $17, the fish and chips are a must have. Fresh and tasty with a salad you can't go wrong. Beers at $8.00 are reasonable. Bar lady was grumpy but everything else was great.

This Pub is a good place to enjoy a Steak dinner and plenty of on-tap beer. The menu has a good choice of food to satisfy most needs. I recommend this Pub to go to for a meal when you are in Napier Cheers CB

We visited here for a cooling beer having walked around the town exploring. The choice of beers and ales suited my husband very well. However, the music was very loud, heavy rock style and there seemed to be quite a few folk who had been drinking heavily. Probably more appealing to a younger crowd than us!

Part of the Art Deco Masonic Hotel, we enjoyed a nice evening meal here. We also sheltered here from the rain prior to booking into said hotel for a cuppa and no-one rushed us. Lovely.

Description
A Napier institution right in the heart of Napier has loads of character and is a great place to meet your friends, start your night out or linger over a meal matched with our best range of beers and our fine selection of wines including many local wines. Our menu is a fusion of Kiwi-Irish, well priced and we are well positioned in Hastings Street amongst the major central city shops and hotels, including our own Art Deco Masonic Hotel. The Rose appeals to a broad range of people, young and young at heart, locals and tourists, families, kiwis and international visitors.
