This popular family run Thai restaurant offers great food and friendly attentive service. Plenty of choices on the large food menu. BWYO wine but also licensed. Entrees are between $7.80 & $10.80 while mains range from $20.80. Favourites worth a look are the Chicken Satay starter, Tom Yum Goong (soup), Seafood Cashew nuts and the Sizzling Garlic Beef. The place was busy because it only had two staff on. They coped well under pressure. The food was really good, a little on the pricier side but this isn't your average Thai place and well worth it. $91 for 4 with no drinks :)

This Thai restaurant has a huge menu which makes it hard to choose. But lots of people order sizzling garlic chicken and we understand why. Delicious. And the Red Fish Curry too was perfect. Some heat but perfect balance. Great value meal too. With rice and tea we paid less than $60 for 2 of us. They also have BYO... More

The portion were not as big as an usual Thai but very tasty and full flavoured. We really liked the spicy noodle. I would come back.

Good service and friendly with a ready smile - just what one needs after a full day. Food was very good - special mention to pad thai, prawn panang and sizzling garlic pork. My partner was raving about the spoon and fork - authentic thai utensils that adds to the thai ambiance.

Lovely food, out quick, hot and tasty. Our dinner for two including 3 beers was $94, pretty good in Ponsonby. Good service and noticed plenty of take aways going out too so obviously popular with locals also. Would recommend.

Nice restaurant, Like the brick walls brick with authentic Thai pictures and gold elephant. Lighting nicey subdued so it makes for an authentic experience. No music when i arrived but I asked for it to be turned on. It was so quiet I could not hear it. i am a big fan of music driving ambience and atmosphere. Amazing how... More

We have eaten at Thai House many times over the years. The service is always very good and the food consistent. The best way to eat is to mix and share. Three mains shared among four people always works well. They are happy to accommodate BYO.

I love this restaurant , located in Ponsonby this has to be my favourite restaurant in auckland. Beautiful relaxed yet intimate atmosphere this place has been a place of many fond memories. Try the beef massaman, probably the most beautiful dish ever, goes down well with an ice cold glass of Chang preceded by a mixed entree , wait till... More
