We booked a degustation menu for the entire family for my birthday and when we turned up, no one knew about our booking. They then didn't make an effort at all to still give us a table (the restaurant was almost empty...and it was a weekday), they also told us that they wouldn't make the degustation menu that day, as... Each visit to Mikano is made special by the warm and friendly welcome we receive lead by Jazz the maitre d'. We have eaten at Mikano on many occasions for various reasons from a business lunch and family dinner to a romantic night with my husband. Jazz and the team go out their way to ensure a great visit. Love this place. From the beautiful setting, well stocked bar, amazing welcome from the maître d who seems to make a point of remembering my name (yes, have been a few times but Jazz always makes it special and personal) to the beautiful food and ambiance. I always feel staff can make or break a dining experience and Jazz always... More

My wife and I often visit Mikano. You get a warm and friendly greeting from the maitre d', and attentive and helpful service. Good cuisine particularly the sea food.

Me and my husband received a voucher from our sons for our birthday to dine at Mikano and it was an overall disappointing experience. Upon entering the restaurant, we approached the counter and saw the manager(Middle aged balding indian man) on duty. When speaking to the manager, we mentioned that we had a voucher booking and immediately, we noticed that... More

I've been to Mikano for lunch and dinner a number of times in the past three years and they continue to impress. Service is great but the food is always of top quality and very well presented. The view is unique in Auckland, both for visitors and locals. Thanks again!

It had been a while since we had gone to Mikano - but wife and I decided to return for an evening meal. As always the location is great, the busy port, the occasional helicopter taking off and landing... However the food was quite disappointing. The duck ravioli over cooked - the scampi lacking in much scampi. My sirloin steak... More

I was recommended to go to this restaurant by a work colleague and I'm certainly pleased I acted on it. The service by the wait staff was warm and friendly, but also extremely efficient. They are clearly led by a great maitrede. The food was top quality and delicious
