Stumbled on this place 2 years ago. Small, unpretentious, directly across from the Sky Tower. Fast service, great food, extensive menu from pigs ears and feet to duck. Seats about 60 people and 2 men wait on the tables and there is never any delay in service. The portions are large. The food fresh and everything is served hot. Can't... More

This place is a real surprise. The decor is a bit rough, but the food is really interesting. Beware - when they say its spicy, they mean SPICY! but that did make it more fun. I really liked the chilli prawns, even though they were kind of hard to eat as the entire prawn (intact with all the bits) was... More

Kinda Chinese street food served in a cafe. Conveniently located across Sky City. Yes, the servings are generous which is why the place is bustling. It is really for the functional eat, go and save money. Delicious beef noodle soup and rice with roast pork variety. Thank goodness, there is this place for late night Asian supper.

Great place, especially for a late night feed. Typical Chinese food with typical Chinese service. Don't expect any fancy things here, basic ambiance, but LARGE portions. Try the crispy pork, its amazing! Even the kaew taew noodles are amazing, and barely finish-able...and that says a lot cause I'm American

We were dying for Asian food. Wongkok provided that. We ordered the ginger onion beef as well as black bean sauce beef. They were nice but the beef had a tad too much of the tenderizer so it tasted a bit rubbery. That said, we appreciated the hot food and rice. And other customers seemed to enjoy their food lots.... With the abundance of great Chinese restaurants in Auckland, I had high hopes for this place. There were tons of local Chinese people there, which tells me it's the real deal. Like most Chinese restaurants, it's loud, lots of hustling and bustling going around, roasted ducks and chickens strung up, the whole nine yards. The food was decent, but service... More

the yang zhou fried rice is always my personal indicator if the quality of the food is good and tasty enough, and the YZFR here is good. $14 for a big portion, only downside is you have to pay 50cents for chili oil. other than that, it's a good place to find good tasty chinese food in auckland. and they...
