Organic (mostly), raw, tasty, friendly. If you are after quality vegan please, the unbakery will be great choice for you. Cons: Organic, tasty, friendly, quality food. Cons: Busy, some items are too expensive for what it is (e.g. Iced coffee $14), often inconsistent quality (iced coffee milkshake one day rich, thick and other days watery, place and tasteless for $14... Wow. The entrance belies the massive space inside, nicely appointed and very bright. Greeted by a cheerful wait team member you are ushered to the great tables and given the voluminous menu. Looking through the pages the descriptions create the desired result; salvation. Looking at the dishes around on the busy tables the choices confuse and you want them all.... More

We sought out this place on the recommendation of family and friends and after finding the small side street where the cafe unobtrusively sits, sat down to a truly surprising lunch of one taste explosion after another. Of course it helps one's perception of any meal to be quite hungry, but that's kind of the point! I have long been... More

We always look for gluten free options, as my husband is Celiac. This is our fav place for brunch in the whole of Auckland. Their menu is really creative, which is true of NZ cuisine, and the deserts are so delicious that you feel like you should have worn your yoga pants, not just to fit in with the crowd,... More

I am not a vegan, but went here for a work lunch as my colleague is a vegan. The service was lovely. I ordered the Kimchi Burger and it tasted delicious and was so filling! Followed by raw vegan cheesecake, which was just as delicious! Would certainly go back!

Vegan cafés are more and more popular in Auckland and the bigger cities in NZ. I tested several cafés during my stay in December/January 2016/2017. I have to say that the unbakery is definitely the best, especially because the concept behind is comprehenisve and high level. Best ingredients combined with the knowledge how to deal with raw food in terms... More

I wish I would have taken photos but as it turned out we were quite famished and ate our food as soon as it arrived! My husband got the acai bowl (macadamia and berries) which he said was good- nothing special and was quite small especially for the price. I opted for a cashew ice cream milkshake as it was... More

Description
A little birdie told us food should be three things:mostly raw, definitely organic and full of goodness. So here at little bird we do just that and with all that combined, the result is pure deliciousness. Why raw? Raw foods are in their purest state- no heating above 46'C. This ensures the food retains all its enzymes and nutrients and its life force, which means every bite contain more goodness for your body. Organic foods are grown without harmful chemicals. No chemicals in the food means no chemicals in your food or environment. Goodness, because food should be good for you, packed with all the nutrition you need to feel fabulous. Goodness tastes good too. We are completely gluten and dairy free and proudly serve plant based menus that suit vegans, vegetarians and healthy minded people looking for an easy way to include more goodness and nutrition in their diet.
